Barbara Ann Felton, age 51, 317 Spaulding Road, Montezuma, Georgia passed Wednesday, October 31, 2012.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Saturday morning, November 3, 2012 at First Salem Baptist Church, Twin Church Road, Montezuma, Georgia. The Reverend Paul A. McFarland, pastor will officiate. Interment will follow in Davis Chapel A.M.E. Church Cemetery, Georgia Hwy 26 West, Oglethorpe, Georgia.

Barbara Ann Felton was born November 24, 1960 to Annie Pearl Melvin-Hamilton and the late Norris Felton in Macon County, Georgia. She was a 1979 graduate of the historic D. F. Douglass High School. She was a 1981 graduate of South Georgia Technical College with a degree in Nursing Assistance. She was employed as a CNA with the Montezuma Healthcare Nursing Center, with Pinehill Nursing Home of Byromville, Georgia and with the Magnolia Manor Home of Americus, Georgia. She also advanced in Nursing Care while employed with the Montezuma Healthcare Nursing Home. She was a patient representative for the local chapter of Divatas, Inc. patients of the Macon County Chapter.

Barbara Ann was a member of First Salem Baptist Church, under the leadership of Reverend Paul A. McFarland.

Survivors are her two loving and devoted daughters, Lateshia Thornton and Lakeshia Thornton, both of Montezuma, Georgia; her loving grandson, Kalexis Thornton, Montezuma, Georgia; her parents, Annie Pearl Melvin-Hamilton (stepfather, Cleveland Hamilton), Oglethorpe, Georgia; her siblings, Shelia M. Kaigler (Sanford), Oglethorpe, Georgia and Alphonso Melvin (Corliss), Atlanta, Georgia; half-sister, Sharon English, Montezuma, Georgia; her grandmother, Catherine Melvin, Andersonville, Georgia; step parental grandmother, Alberta Odom, Montezuma, Georgia; her nephews / nieces, Rayshawn Kaigler, Nehemiah Melvin, Simone Kaigler, Kourtney Melvin, Brittney Melvin, Acacia Melvin, Azriel Melvin and Hannah Melvin; her extended family include her loving and devoted God Children, Jacob Harris, Oglethorpe,Georgia and D'Qurn Fudge, Montezuma, Georgia; a host of uncles and aunts, Jimmy Melvin, Jacksonville, Florida, Willie C. Ms. Elnora Joiner, age 76, 130 Oak Grove Court, Montezuma, Georgia passed Sunday, October 21, 2012.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, October 27, 2012 at Zion Grove Baptist Church, Whitehouse Road, Montezuma, Georgia. The Revered Coley Clark, pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in Champ Waters Cemetery, Twin Church Road, Montezuma, Georgia.

Ms. Elnora Joiner was born December 22, 1935 in Montezuma, Macon County, Georgia to the late Eddie Lee Joiner and Winnie Murray Joiner. One son, Jackie Lee Joiner, preceded her in death. Five siblings, Eva Burkes, A.W. Joiner, Sr., Charlie Joiner, Willie Clarence Joiner, and Johnny Mack Joiner, preceded her in death. She was educated in the public school system of Macon County. She was a member of Evangelica Faith Vision Ministry in Albany, Georgia. Ms. Elnora’s hobbies included cooking, gardening, and working with her flowers. After many years of service, she retired as a homemaker.

She leaves to cherish her memories her two beloved and devoted children, Albert Joiner, Oglethorpe, Georgia and Judie Sanders, Montezuma, Georgia; her nine loving grandchildren, Cindy Joiner, Russell Joiner, Lanedia Joiner, Allyson Joiner, Shinequa Revills, Chancy Joiner, Alisha Joiner, Austin Joiner, and Nikeria Sanders; her two great grandchildren, Tavion Joiner and Damorion Foster; her niece whom she reared as her own, Jennifer Joiner; her six siblings, Ruthie Mae Howard, Ideal, Georgia, Mae Chambers, Miami, Florida, Ella West (Bennie), Florida City, Florida, Susie Butler, Montezuma, Georgia, Bertha Joiner, Montezuma, Georgia, and D. Eddie Joiner (Betty), Montezuma, Georgia; a host of beloved nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends, including Marshal and Carrie Wootens & Family and Laura Souter & Family.

Stacey Lechelle Holston was born January 31, 1980 to Lorine Kaigler Holston-Frazier and the late David Holston, Jr. She received her education in the public school system of Macon County. She was a 1998 honor graduate of Macon County High School. She was a Flag Girl and played basketball with Macon County High School Bulldogs. Stacey was a 2002 graduate of South Georgia Technical College where she received a degree in Office Procedure. She also was a 2004 graduate of Georgia Southwestern State University with a degree in Accounting and Criminal Justice. In 2007, she graduated from South Georgia Technical College with a degree in Business Management. Stacey was employed as a Customer Service Representative with Carribella Catalog Company in Americus, Georgia and later employed with Pet-Care.

Survivors are her parents, Lorine Frazier (Carvis Lewis), Montezuma, Georgia; her fiancé’s daughter who she helped reared as her own, Khanyla Boland, Montezuma, Georgia; her fiancé, Kenneth Boland, III, Montezuma, Georgia; her brothers, Clifton J. Governor Gibson, pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in the Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, White Water Road, Ideal, Georgia.

T. J. was born November 20, 1936 in Ideal, Macon County, Georgia to the late Rosa Tookes Jones and Bat Jones. He was preceded in death by five siblings: Willie C. Jones, Morris Jones, Fred Jones, Billie Jones and Kenneth Jones. He was married to the former Louvenia Bailey, and to this union, they were blessed with six children. Three children preceded him in death. After several years of dedicated services, T. J. retired from Simmons and Sons as a heavy equipment operator.

T. J. She was preceded in death by her father, Fred Mason, and three siblings, Timothy Mason, Pearlie Mae Mason and Charlie Mason. She was a member of United House of Prayer of Americus, Georgia.

Survivors are one son, Timothy Whaley (Valencia Harvey), Oglethorpe, Georgia; mother, Mattie Hubbard Mason, Oglethorpe, Georgia; two half brothers, Fred Lee Hannor (Sarah) and Marvin Hannor all of Montezuma, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mr. Willie David “Jabo” Ross, was born on January 6, 1961 to the late Charlie W. Ross and Alice Walker ross in Buena Vista, Marion County, Georgia. Five siblings preceded him in deatha: Charlie W. Ross, Jr., Roosevelt Ross, Emma Ruth Ross, Margarine Ross Langston and Maggie Lou Ross Solomon. He was educated in the public school system of Sumter County where he acquired his elementary education in the historic Plains Elementary School. The family moved back to Marion County and in 1979 he graduated from Tri-county High School. At an early age he joined the New Bethel Baptist Church. For several dedicated years he was employed with Wells And Grain of Ellaville, Georgia as a heavy equipment operator.

The legacy of a beautiful life will remain a treasure forever in the memories of those who survive which include his companion of 9 years, Ms. Sheila Aldridge of Ellaville, Georgia. Two siblings, Ms. Marie Ross and Katie Ross (Elijah), all of Ellaville, Georgia. Lonnie Woolfork, Sr. was born May 12, 1962 to Alonzo Woolfork and Inez Mann Woolfork in Montezuma, Macon County, Georgia. He was educated in the public school system of Macon County. He was a 1980 graduate of D. F. Douglass High School. Lonnie attended South Georgia Technical College where he received some training in welding and business administration. He was a faithful member of First Salem Baptist Church. Lonnie was employed with Allen's Company for more than twenty-five years as a Supervisor. On November 29, 2007, he was united in Holy matrimony to the former Latarcha Cotton.

Mrs. Louise Felton Robinson, age 84, 311 Whiteline Street, Montezuma, Georgia passed Friday, October 5, 2012 at the Flint River Community Hospital, Montezuma, Georgia.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Friday, October 12, 2012 at the Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church, 410 River Road, Montezuma, Georgia. Interment will follow in the Andersonville National Cemetery, 496 Cemetery Road, Andersonville, Georgia.

Mrs. Louise Felton Robinson was born April 3, 1928 in Montezuma, Macon County, Georgia to the late James and Hattie Lou Dawson Felton. She acquired her education in the public school system of Macon County where she attended Macon County High Training School. At an early age, she joined Barrons Lane Methodist Church, where she served as an usher. She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and joined the band of Christian believers. In 1946, she was united in Holy matrimony to the late Albert Robinson Jr. In 1959 she joined Bethel AME Church, where she served as a member of the Usher Board. She retired after 24 years of working as a dedicated servant for the United Methodist Church.

She leaves a legacy of love and memories to her beloved eight children: Pearlie Kendrick (Reverend Charlie) Austell, Georgia, Deacon Jerry Robinson Sr. (Mary) East Point, Georgia, David Robinson (Christine) Bainbridge, Georgia, Charlie Ray Robinson Sr. (Angela) Decatur, Georgia, Edna Walker (Johnny) Reynolds, Georgia, Curtis Robinson (Cassie) Forest Park, Georgia, Jacqueline Stokes (Glenn) Leavenworth, Kansas, and Sherry Robinson Montezuma, Georgia; twenty-three grandchildren and twenty-six great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Shelly Ray Robinson, Marietta, Georgia; a host of beloved nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including one devoted and loyal neighbor and friend, Mrs. Patricia Council, Montezuma, Georgia; her fishing buddy, Mrs. Rosa Cromer, Montezuma, Georgia and her two devoted nurses and caretakers, Barbara Stewart and Jackie Turner.

Henry Smith, Jr., better known as “Boy Rock”, age 74, 828-A, T. E. Moone Street, Montezuma, Georgia passed Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at the Medical Center, Macon, Georgia.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, October 6, 2012 at the Zion Hill Baptist Church, Willie James Road, Montezuma, Georgia. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery.

Mr. Smith was born September 21, 1938 in Montezuma, Macon Co., Georgia to the late Henry Smith, Sr. and Essie Mae Preston Smith. He was preceded in death by nine siblings, Annie Ruth Barnes, James Smith, Essie Mae Smith, Ethel Mae Smith, Ailene Smith, Willie Henry Smith, Willie Mae Smith, Margie Smith Cooper and Lucy Mae Smith Jenkins. He acquired his education in the public school system of Macon County.

After many years of dedicated services he retired from Mass Stock as a heavy equipment operator in 2005. At an early age he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and joined the band of Christian believers at the Zion Hill Baptist Church.

He was united in holy matrimony to the former Jannie Mae Williams, and he was the proud father of four children – his daughter, Cynthia Smith, preceded him in death.

“Boy Rock,” as loved ones and friends affectionately called him, enjoyed his cup of coffee and breakfast with the boys at Troy’s Snack Shack.

He leaves a legacy of love and memories to his beloved family which include his wife, Jannie Mae Smith, Montezuma, Georgia; three children, Willie Gene Smith, Atlanta, Georgia, Roy Smith (Pearlie), Oglethorpe, Georgia and Gwendolyn Smith, Richmond, Virginia; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren; six siblings, Lucille Cullers (Johnny), Miami, Florida, Emmitt Smith (Annette), Merlene Smith, Christine Hinton all of Montezuma, Georgia, Pearlene Harvey (Rev. Willie Gene) Rochester, New York, Herman Smith, Byromville, Georgia; Cleon Harry, Vinandle, New Jersey, Maggie Horsley and Paulene Hosley both of Elmira, New york; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Mary Ann Joiner, Betty Ann Williams, Bessie Lee Williams and Mildred Johnson (John), Oglethorpe, Georgia; a host of beloved nieces and nephews including one devoted, Michelle Smith; and a host of other relatives and friends.
