LET ME GO
When I come to the end of the road
And the sun has set for me
I want no rites in a gloom filled room
Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little, but not for long
And not with your head bowed low
Remember the love that once we shared
Miss me, but let me go.
For this is a journey we all must take
And each must go alone.
It's all part of the master plan
A step on the road to home.
When you are lonely and sick at heart
Go to the friends we know.
Laugh at all the things we used to do
Miss me, but let me go

Mr. Willie Arthur Hamilton, Sr., synonymously known as “Pee-Wee,” was born to the parentage of the late Dorothy Peeples Hamilton and the late Nathaniel Hamilton, Sr. on December 24, 1963. Mr. Willie was born and raised in Ellaville, Georgia, where he resided up until his passing. He attended public school in Ellaville, Georgia, and graduated from Tri-County High School, where he was apart of band and played the trombone.Regarding his employment, he served as machine operator in the vinyl industry at Wrapit Inc., in Ellaville, GA., for 17 years. After the permanent closing of Wrapit Inc, he became employed at TCI Powder Coatings for approximately 1 year until his health began to fail. Thankfully, God allowed him to unite in holy matrimony with Daphne O. Hamilton, on February 2, 2007, to become his wife, caregiver, and forever friend to endure life’s journey through thick and thin. Willie officially became diagnosed with sarcoidosis and chronic pulmonary obstructive disease on September 14, 2012. Since then, he has endured unemployment and countless hospitalizations, while turning to journaling , old-school music, thriller movies, gaming shows, sermons, and prayers of faith  to guide him through his battle of sarcoidosis. Nevertheless, his motto remained ,”God still gets ALL THE GLORY!” As far as his character, Mr. Willie was the epitome of strength, genuine love, and humbleness. Thus, he never complained and always believed in helping others if he was able to do so. His favorite hobbies and past- times consisted of cooking out, spending time with family, cooking a crab boil, watching television, and listening to old school music. Beyond his favorite hobbies and pastimes, nothing superseded Mr. Willie’s relationship with God; he knew that he could not live his life without God. Therefore, he gave his life over to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and eventually became a member of City of David House of Refuge, in Macon, Georgia, under the leadership of Chief Apostle David Holt and General Supervisor Linda Holt. On April 16, 2023, Mr. Willie entered eternal rest, where there will not be any more hospitalizations, doctor visits, sleepless nights, or need for supplemental oxygen. His fight, his love, and most importantly, his presence will truly be missed.

Mr. Willie was preceded in death by both parents and two siblings, Theresa Hamilton and Daphne Pina.

He leaves to cherish memories, his devoted wife, Daphne O. Hamilton of Ellaville, Georgia.Four children: Gloria J. Brown of Warner Robins, Georgia; Charity D. Brown, Joshua J. Brown, and Willie Arthur Hamilton, Jr. of Ellaville, Georgia. One grandchild: Connor Josiah Hawkins. Mother-in-law and father-in-law: Sherry F. Oliver and Edward Clark of Ellaville, Georgia.
