Mrs. Vernice Hollis was born May 22, 1937 in Ellaville, Schley County, Georgia to the late William Thomas Collier and Addie Lee Morrison Collier. Two siblings, Henry Collier, Sr. and William Collier, Jr., and one daughter-in-law, Cynthia Renee Johnson Hollis, preceded her in death.

She was a spectacular baker and the “best” cook in the world, and was known for her delicious home-made cakes. She loved her family dearly and practically raised most of her grandchildren and even her great grandchildren until her health declined.
