Mr. Arthur James Daniel, age 62, 78 Daniel Drive Buena Vista, Georgia passed Wednesday, January 19, 2011.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, January 23, 2011 at Josh B. GibsonCenter, Roger Street, Buena Vista, Georgia. Interment followed in Bethel A.M.E. Church Cemetery, Fire Tower Road, Cussetta, Georgia.
Arthur James Daniel was born January 10, 1949 in Marion County, Georgia to the late Johnnie Daniel and Julia King Daniel. He was educated in the Marion County Public School System.
On October 10, 1971, he was united in holy matrimony to Geraldine Daniel. He was blessed to be the father of seven children. Three children preceded him death. He was also preceded in death by five siblings: King Edward Daniel, Albert Daniel, Joe Lee Daniel, Lucille Daniel Tymes, and Julia Neal. One brother-in-law, William L. Thompson also preceded him in death. On January 19, 2011, God in his infinite wisdom called our dear husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend to his heavenly home. All he touched will indeed miss him.
Survivors include a loving wife of thirty-nine years, Geraldine Daniel, Buena Vista, Georgia; his four loving children: Tracy Porter (Gregory), Patrick Denmark, Genericka Minter, all of Buena Vista, Georgia; Tracy Thomas (Melvin), Preston, Georgia, Five grandchildren: Shonte’ Porter, Melvin Thomas Jr., Tridavion Slaughter, Troytavia Denmark, and Kameryn Glass, Buena vista, Georgia; five devoted siblings: Johnny Daniel (Lillian), West Palm Beach, Florida; Ola Mae Neal (George), Buena Vista, Georgia; Robert Daniel, Buena Vista, Georgia, Carolyn Allison (Rick), David Daniel, both of Birmingham, Alabama; five brothers-in-law; Hubert Tymes, Samuel Neal, Johnny Thompson, Rayford, Thompson, all of Buena Vista, Georgia and Edward Thompson (Merlene); four sisters-in-law, Joyce Daniel, Power Springs, Georgia, Eva Daniel, Buena Vista, Georgia, Penny Thompson, Florida and Vanilla Thompson, Monroe, North Carolina; and uncle, Willie Lewis, Birmingham, Alabama. Also included are a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
