Yetteria BreAnna McCants, age 8, 222 Martin Luther King, Jr., Avenue, Ideal, Georgia passed Thursday morning, May 28, 2015.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday morning, June 3, 2015 at Travelers Home Baptist Church, Travelers Home Church, Ideal, Georgia.  The Reverend Carl Munns, pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in the New Home Baptist Church Cemetery, Reynolds, Georgia.

Yetteria BreAnna McCants was born July 18, 2006 to Curtis Orlando McCants, Jr. and SeBrenia Renee Cato in Sumter Regional Hospital, Americus, Georgia.

BreAnna was better known to family and friends as “Lady Bug”. She was the beloved granddaughter of Annette Williamson Daniels and Willie Joe Daniels, Michael Preston Cato, Mary McCants, and the late Reverend Curtis McCants, Sr.  She was the great granddaughter of Julia Jeter.

Carnell Loman, age 67, citizen of Orlando, Florida passed Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Orlando Health Center, Orlando, Florida.
 
Funeral service will be conducted 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 30, 2015 at New Hope Baptist Church, Georgia Highway 26 East, Montezuma, Georgia.  The Reverend Alan Waters, pastor will officiate.  Interment will follow in the Oglethorpe City Cemetery, Memorial Drive, Oglethorpe, Georgia.
 
Carnell Loman was born January 24, 1948 to Millie Mae Thomas and the late Thomas James “Pete” Loman in Montezuma, Macon County, Georgia. Carnell was preceded in death by three siblings, Thomas James Loman, Helen Loman Harrison and Ruby Loman Hall.  He was educated in the public school system of Macon County.  He was a 1966 graduate of the Historic D. F. Douglass High School.  He was an Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam Era. Carnell was married to the former late Dorothy Rose Beal Loman.  To this union, they were blessed with three children.

Elzie Mitchell, Jr., age 50, 1503 South Federal Highway, Lake Worth, Florida passed on May 18, 2015 at his residence.
 
The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Monday, May 25, 2015 at Galilee Primitive Baptist Church, 101 Buena Vista Street, Ellaville, Georgia, where Elder James Grier is pastor.  The Reverend Coley Clark, Jr. will officiate. Interment will follow in Galilee Cemetery, Highway 19 North, Ellaville, Schley County, Georgia.
 
Mr. Elzie Mitchell, Jr. was born June 22, 1964 in Ellaville, Schley County, Georgia to Christine Mitchell and the late Elzie Mitchell, Sr. He was educated in the public school system of Schley County. Elzie was employed as a farm worker and was a tractor driver for many of years

Zelma Mahone Williamson, age 70, 105 Gene Wilbur Road, Ideal, Georgia passed Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at the Phoebe Sumter Medical Center, Americus, Georgia.
 
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:30 P.M. Sunday, May 17, 2015 at the Faith Memorial Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, Brooks Road, Ideal, Georgia, where Reverend E. Terry is pastor.  The Reverend Rodney Duncan will officiate.  Interment will follow in the Hopewell Independent Church Cemetery, Brook Mill Road, Rupert, Macon County, Georgia.
 
Mrs. Williamson was born September 5, 1944 in Ideal, Macon County, Georgia to the late Eddie Mahone and Nellie Duncan Mahone.  She was educated in the public school of Macon County where she was a 1962 graduate of D. F. Douglass High School.  After her completion of high school, she moved to Atlanta, Georgia where she was employed as a salesperson with J. P. Allen Department Store. 
 
At an early age, she joined the Pine Hill C.M.E. Church, which later converged with Felton Chapel C.M.E. Church under the name Faith Memorial Christian Methodist Episcopal Church.  She was a choir member and supported every facet of the church she loved so well. She was affiliated with the Esther Chapter OES No. 6.
 
She met and married the love of her life, George Williamson, Sr.  on the eighth of October 1965 and their union was blessed with three sons.
 
She leaves a legacy of love and many fond memories to her beloved husband of forty-nine years, George Willliamson, Sr., Ideal, Georgia; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Eddie Lawrence (Kimberly) Williamson, Macon, Georgia, George (Sharon) Williamson, Jr., Montezuma, Georgia, and Kirby Williamson, Macon, Georgia; four siblings and their spouses,  Mary Nell Ferguson, Ideal, Georgia, Lester (Regina) Mahone, Atlanta, Georgia, Carey (Easter) Mahone, Oglethorpe, Georgia, and Kenneth Mahone, Ideal, Georgia; seven grandchildren, Shamon Williamson, Nia Williamson, Beverly Duncan, Ashley Walker, Danisha Walker, Samuel Westberry and Morranda Westberry; one aunt, Alice Duncan, Ideal, Georgia; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Elene Adams Lowe

Mrs. Elene Adams Lowe, age 88, affectionately known as “Momma Lowe” to many, was born in Houston County, Georgia on September 23, 1926 to the parentage of the late Eddie and Clara Lee Adams. She passed quietly at her residence on Thursday, May 14, 2015 after an extended illness.
 
The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Saturday morning,  May 16, 2015 at Shade Arnold Baptist Church, Georgia Highway 26 East, Montezuma, Georgia.  Reverend Dr. George Porter, Jr., pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in the Church cemetery.
 
Mrs. Lowe was a faithful member of Shade Arnold Baptist Church in Montezuma, Georgia. She also served as Mother of the church.
 
She was the mother of four sons; two, of which, preceded her in death.
 
Left to cherish memories and mourn her passing are two devoted sons, Billy (Lela) Lowe of Atlanta, Georgia, Larry (LaVerne) Lowe of Warner Robins, Georgia; one sister Dorothy J. Williams of Montezuma, Georgia; sister–in-law, Doris Adams of Perry, Georgia; daughter-in-law, Betty Lowe of Montezuma, Georgia; ten grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
 
“We bid you farewell, mother. We know that Jesus was with you as you walked through the Valley of the Shadow of Death and has welcomed you into His Kingdom with open arms. Good bye mother, we love you but Jesus loves you best. We all will miss you but will meet again in the sweet by and by on the banks of God’s beautiful shore.”

Terry Lynn Burton, age 51, 638 South Plum Street, Montezuma, Georgia passed, Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center, Americus, Georgia.
 
The memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Friday, May 15, 2015 at Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc., 607 Kaigler Street, Oglethorpe, Georgia. The Reverend Coley Clark, Jr., pastor of Zion Grove Baptist Church, Montezuma, Georgia will officiate.
 
On August 10, 1963, Verna Mae Turner Burton was blessed with two lovely sons, Jerry and Terry.  Verna Mae and his twin brother preceded him in death.  He was preceded in death by two siblings, Jerome and Cedric.  Terry grew up in the community of Montezuma, Georgia, where he received his elementary and high school education.  He was a 1981 graduate of the historic D. F. Douglass High School.  After his completion of high school, he entered in the United States Army.  He was honorably discharged after serving his country with dignity and honor.  He worked several years with the Montezuma City Sanitation Department as a small machine operator.  At an early age he joined the membership of Mount Pleasant Christian Methodist Episcopal Church of Montezuma, Georgia.
 
He leaves a legacy of love and many fond memories to his beloved family: a loving and devoted sister, Zona Denise (James) Riley, Sr. Montezuma, Georgia; two brothers, Denny (Diann) Turner and Harold (Daisy) Turner, all of Atlanta, Georgia; stepbrothers, Ricky McKenzie, Ideal, Georgia and Von McKenzie, Atlanta, Georgia; stepsister, Sandra McKenzie, Atlanta, Georgia;  devoted nieces and nephews,  Harold Turner, Kareem Turner, Judith Turner,  Antonio Riley, Sr., Keith Tuff, Jr., James Riley, Jr., and Verna Tuff; devoted first cousin, Sandra (Calvin) Duncan, Lithonia, Georgia; devoted friend, Lorenzo Thornton, Montezuma, Georgia; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Fannie Clara Patterson, age 84, 409 River Road, Montezuma, Georgia passed Friday, May 8, 2015 at the Montezuma Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, 506 Sumter Street, Montezuma, Georgia.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Thursday morning, May 14, 2015 at Bethel A.M.E. Church, 406 River Road, Montezuma, Georgia.  Interment will follow at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, 321 Whiteline Street, Montezuma, Georgia.
 
Mrs. Fannie Clara Patterson was born July 17, 1930 in Montezuma, Macon County, Georgia to the late Mary Lucas and reared by her maternal grandparents, Grant and Annie Lucas. Her husband, John Willie Patterson; one son, Grant William Patterson; and five siblings, W.C. Walton, Walter Barron, Tommy Lewis Lucas, Eunita Jackson, and Dorothy Ann Timpson, preceded her in death.
 
Fannie was united in holy matrimony to the late John Willie Patterson, and to this union, six children was born. Fannie accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and joined the membership of Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church. Fannie worked for Forest Mills Company for numerous years and she also worked for Procter & Gamble Company as a construction worker.  Fannie helped build the new bridge in Oglethorpe, Georgia.
 
She leaves to cherish her memories: five loving children, Rev. Jelverlyn Cole (Rev. Gerald), North Carolina, Annie Hannor (John), East Point, Georgia, John Willie Patterson, Jr., Fort Valley, Georgia, Emily Patterson, and Frances Ellis, both of Montezuma, Georgia; she helped reared three of her grandchildren as her own, Willie Joe Mathis, Jr., Stephia Jacobs and Lolita McAuley; 13 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; brother, Mack Arthur Walton (Lorene), Ocala, Florida;  a host of beloved nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Marshall Fobbs, age 73, 483 Bob Vinson Road, Montezuma, Georgia, passed on Friday, May 8, 2015 at The Medical Center of Navicent Health, Macon, Georgia. 

The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday May 13, 2015 at the Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, 607 Kaigler Street, Oglethorpe, Georgia. Interment will follow at the Champ Waters Cemetery, 191 Twin Church Road, Montezuma, Georgia.

Marshall Fobbs was born on March 16, 1942 in Montezuma, Macon County, Georgia, to Nannie Mae Fobbs Tooke and was reared by the late George Washington Tooke, Sr. He was educated in the public School System of Macon County and  attended the Historic D. F. Douglass High School in Montezuma, Georgia.
 
Marshall worked as a construction worker at Bacchus Concrete Construction Company for many years. He was joined in holy matrimony to the late Veraldine McDonald Fobbs. He was preceded in death by his wife; brother George Washington Tooke, Jr.; and grandson, Darrin “Nook” Lowe.

Willie Lewis Ballard, Sr. was born July 17, 1970 to Virgil Lee Morgan and the late Minnie Ruth Ballard in Americus, Sumter County, Georgia.   He was educated in the public school system of Sumter County.  He was employed with the Townsend Tree Surgery in Americus, Georgia. Willie was known by family and friends as “Mr. 1000.”

Mrs. Willie Lue Hubbard, age 91, formerly of Montezuma, Georgia passed Thursday, May 7, 2015.
 
The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Perry Grove Baptist Church, Georgia Highway 118, Leslie, Georgia, where Reverend David Ham is pastor.  Interment will follow in the Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Georgia Highway 118, Leslie, Georgia. Elder Garrett Dawson of First Presbyterian Church of Baton Rouge, Louisiana will officiate.
 
Mrs. Willie Lue Hubbard was born March 17, 1924 to the late Johnny B. Hubbard and Madgezine Herndon in Sumter County, Georgia.  She was educated in the public school system of Sumter County, Georgia.  She moved to Miami, Florida at an early age.  She was employed as a Private Duty Nurse with Dr. Scott Dawson for many years and reared his two sons, Garrett and Jay.
 
After she retired, she moved to Montezuma, Georgia to care for her mother.  She met a loving companion, Johnny McClendon, who preceded her in death.  She was also preceded in death by three of her children: Hazel Willis, Ezell Brown and Gloria Willis.
 
At a very early age, she joined the Perry Grove Baptist Church where she maintained her membership through the years.  Survivors are a daughter, Agnes Yarbrough (James), Columbus, Ohio; three grandchildren, Alonzo Gilbert, Kelvin Gilbert, both of Albany, Georgia, and Marvin Willis, Jr., Miami, Florida; devoted nieces and nephews, Alice Stewart, Barbara Stewart, Charlie Stewart (Annie B.), all of Leslie, Georgia, Eddie Mick Stewart, Americus, Georgia, Calvin Stewart, Leslie, Georgia, and Eddie Stewart (Rev. Dianna), Fayetteville, Georgia; a host of great nieces and great nephews, other relatives and friends.
