Lenoris Clemons, aged 71, departed this life on May 29, 2024, entering into eternal rest.

​Memorial services in remembrance of his life will be conducted on Saturday, June 8, 2024, commencing at 11:00 A.M. The gathering will take place at the Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, located at 607 Kaigler Street, Oglethorpe, Georgia. 

Lenoris Clemons of Americus, GA went home peacefully on May 29, 2024. Preceded in departure by his beloved mother, Kate Hill Clemons and father, Cooper Clemons, Lenoris was their first child born and raised in Woodside, NY. He attended Queens Vocational H.S. and then Ulster County College. Thereafter, he worked at Manhattan Psychiatric Center. His hobbies included playing basketball and coaching kids in Woodside, woodworking, and computer repair. Lenoris loved to eat. At every opportunity he could get, he loved trying different restaurants to enjoy great food. Lenoris also loved his daughters and grandkids. His family and friends knew him to crack jokes and have fun during the short time we spent on this earth.

Lenoris is survived by his children, Jasmine Clemons, Woodside, New York, Tasha Porter, Nicole Porter, both of Atlanta, Georgia and grandchildren Louis Moore, Amina Fulton, and K’Lani Fulton, two siblings, Nanzetta McKie and Bernard Clemons of Woodside, New York; beloved nephew, Kaseem Skinner; aunts, Daisy Clifton, Queens, New York, Rose Mae Clemons, Americus, Georgia, Janet Hill, Beaver, Pennsylvania, Beatrice Hill, Midland, Pennsylvania; and a host of other relatives, neighbors and lifelong friends also survive.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at St. James C.M.E. Church, Railroad Street, Marshallville, Georgia. Burial will follow at Colonel Felton Cemetery, 504 South Street, Marshallville, Georgia.  ​

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, May 24, 2024, at Magnolia Baptist Church, 415 Hosie Waters Street, Montezuma, Georgia. Burial will follow at the Oglethorpe City Cemetery, Memorial Drive, Oglethorpe, Georgia.

Leonard Johnson was born on November 2, 1952, in Macon County, Georgia to the late Marie & L.C. Johnson. He was preceded in death by his sister, Marilyn Johnson-Worthy (Emmitt Worthy Sr.), his late aunt Clara English, late grandparents Ethel Reese and Judson Smith, his maternal great grandparents, late Ernest, and Clara Turner, two late uncles Napolean Hill Sr. and John Lee Johnson, and his late niece Kristie Worthy. Leonard was a graduate of the historic D.F. Douglas High class of 1971 and furthered his education at South Georgia Technical College in Americus, Georgia. He started employment at the Macon County Sheriff Office in 1979 and was a member of the Sheriff Association. He was the first African American to be elected as the Sheriff of Macon County. He was also employed at Mulcoa Plant for several years. He confessed his belief in the true and living God and became a member of the St. Paul A.M.E. Church where he served as a member for fifty plus years and a member of the Trustee Board and Steward Board.

Leonard leaves a legacy of love and many wonderful memories to his beloved family which includes his only daughter Veronica Johnson-Hill (Antwann Hill Sr.) of Kathleen, Georgia; his loving and devoted sister Brenda Kleckley (Willie C.) of Oglethorpe, Georgia; his grandchildren Aniya Hill and Antwann Hill Jr.; his devoted aunt Ellen Rose Rusell of Decatur, Georgia; devoted uncle, Joe Johnson of Decatur, Georgia; devoted nieces, Laveta Worthy Jones and Debbie Kleckley of Montezuma, Georgia; devoted nephews Willie Kleckley Jr. (Tina) Warner Robins, Emmitt Worthy Jr. (Sabrina) of Montezuma, Georgia, Ricky Kleckley (Katrina) Deatsville, Alabama, and Dale Worthy (Kena) of Athens, Georgia; devoted cousins Nate Rogers, Cheryl Smith, Milton English (Bessie), and Alnetia Whitfield; special and devoted friends Rev and Mrs. Hosie Waters, Mildred Porter, Wayne Davis, Jarrett Waters, Marion “City Boy” Waters, Janet Shelley, Sheriff Eric Bryant, Sonjia Porter Melton, Charles Allen, Howard Brown, Sherrif Cullen Talton, Hubert West, Eddie Hosley, and Whitfield Family.

Our beloved Shadayla Williams was born in Sumter
 County, Georgia on November 22, 1991, to the parentage of Tomeika Williams. She received her education in the Sumter County School system. Shadayla, affectionately known as Day-Day, passed away on May 7, 2024, at Atrium Navicent Health in Macon, GA. She is preceded in death by her grandmother, who helped raised her, Gwendolyn Williams Galloway. Her great- grandparents Virgil Williams and Francis Williams. Her uncles Bernard Banks and Victor Williams, and her stepfather Jeffery Hurley.

Day-Day was very loved by her family and could light up a room with her beautiful smile. She will be greatly missed by her loving and caring mother, Mrs. Tomeika Williams Hurley of Warner Robins, Ga. Her brothers, Jeffery Hurley of Warner Robins, Ga and Quantavious Hurley (Shanetta) of Plains, Ga. Her nieces and nephew Kamylah Fort of Warner Robins, Ga, Kaiden Hurley and Madison Wilborn of Plains, Ga. Her grandfather, Mr. Johnny Galloway of Americus, Ga. Her uncle Mr. Leonardo Williams of Americus, Ga. Day-Day will greatly be missed by her relatives and extended family.

​Donnie Lee Kleckley, age 64, of Oglethorpe, Georgia passed on Friday, May 10, 2024, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia. 

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Oglethorpe City Cemetery, Oglethorpe, Georgia.

Donnie was born on January 13, 1960, in Macon County, Georgia, to the late Johnny Kleckley and Eva Haugabook Kleckley. He is also preceded in death by his sister Carla Kleckley.
 
Donnie was educated in Macon County school system. He was a graduate of the historic D.F. Douglass High School in 1978. He was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1982. He was employed with Macon County's local grocery stores until he became ill. He was known for his kindness and quiet personality. In his spare time Donnie enjoyed watching sports, and spending time with family.
 
Donnie was loved and will be missed by many. He leaves fond memories in the hearts of his family: sister, Linda Kleckley Hankerson of Oglethorpe, Georgia, brother, Tommy Kleckley (Ruby) of Oglethorpe, Georgia, sister, Jeshanah Kleckley of Americus, Georgia; nieces and nephews: Harold Hankerson Jr. (Lazetta) of Marietta, Georgia, Stacey Hankerson of Fort Valley, Georgia, Candace Kleckley of Oglethorpe, Georgia; great nieces and nephews, Simone Hankerson, Timberly Mathis, Hailey Hankerson, Harold Hankerson III "Trey), and Timothy D. Mathis "TJ".

A loving extended family: Betty Mathis of Ellenwood, Georgia; Marianne Curry (Russell) of Stockbridge, Georgia; Clara McKenzie of Montezuma, Georgia; Doris Haugabook of Marshallville, Georgia, and Jerome Haugabook of Atlanta, Georgia. A host of cousins, friends, and a worldwide spiritual family.

Jamie was born August 23, 1955, in Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida to the late James McBride and the late Laurene Davis Flowers. She was educated in the public school system of Duval County, Florida.  She was a school bus driver for the public school system of Duval County.  In 2002 she moved to Marshallville, Georgia. She was a member of St. James C.M.E. Church and she was employed with Perdue Farms for several years.  She was preceded  in death by her son, Rodrick Jordan Lamar.

Survivors include her fiancé, Leonard Little, Marshallville, Georgia; two children, Marvin Joseph Jordan and Michael James Jordan; god son, Adrian Oates, Marshallville, Georgia; three siblings, Nora Felton, Marshallville, Georgia, Freddie Lee Johnson (Glenda), Penny Lowe Sawyer, all of Jacksonville, Florida; aunts and uncle, Minnie Pearl Rumph, Orlando, Florida and Willie Battle, Ft. Valley, Georgia; god father, Samuel Rice, Marshallville, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews including Mija Felton, Marshallville, Georgia; great nieces & nephews, Na’Adria Felton , Na’ Fabian Felton and Adrian Felton and devoted cousin Sharon Dasher, Jacksonville, Florida.

Kaleya was born in Americus, Georgia at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center on June 17, 2010. She was attending Webster County School where she was described as a joy to teach. Kaleya enjoyed watching television. Her favorite shows were Garfield and Phineas & Ferb. 

Jasiah was born in Americus, Georgia at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center on September 8, 2016. He was a student at Webster County School. Josiah loved basketball and spent many afternoons playing on his self-made basketball goal.

Despite their short time on this earth, they were deeply loved and brought immense joy to those surrounding them. They will be forever remembered by their parents Cassandra Williams (Carl), Preston, Georgia and Karrell Williams (Ebony), Ellaville, Georgia. Kaleya and Josiah were preceded in death by their grandfathers Willie Lee Collins and Curtis Williams; and aunt, Alice Hartage (Jessie). 

Kaleya and Jasiah are survived by their grandparents Hattie Hartage (Charlie) Preston, Georgia; Debra Pina Ellaville, Georgia. Siblings, Daijanai Collins, Zechariah Anderson, Alex Murray, Jarel Williams Preston, Georgia, Karrell Williams Jr. Ellaville, Georgia. Aunts- Yolanda Dodson (Alex) Preston, Georgia, Briana Bozeman (Mike) Latrice Ramsey (Jason) Columbus, Georgia, Gabriell Pina, Ellaville, Georgia, Markeia Banks (Travis) Americus, Georgia; Jasmine Myrick Americus, Georgia. Uncles- Rayford Thompson (Jacksonville, Florida), Christopher Hartage, Buena Vista, Georgia, Charles Johnson, Preston, Georgia. Johnny Collins (Miami, Florida), Devor Pina (Mashanna) Fairburn, Georgia, Kadrick Williams Ellaville, Georgia, Deondrick Pina Fortson, Georgia.
