Mr. Terry “Pete” Wells, age 50, 327 Miller Circle, Marshallville, Georgia passed Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at Flint River Community Hospital, Montezuma, Georgia.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, July 7, 2011 at the Andersonville National Cemetery, 496 Cemetery Road, Andersonville Georgia with military honors.

Terry “Pete” Wells was born March 7, 1961 in Montezuma, Macon County, Georgia to the late Sylvester and Janet Jordan Wells. Terry acquired his Christian training at New Hope Baptist Church and the Magnolia Baptist Church in Montezuma, Georgia. He was educated in the public school system of Macon County. He was a 1979 graduate of D. F. Douglass High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Terry was employed with NYK Logistics in Waco, Texas as a Forklift Driver.

On May 9, 2008, he was united in Holy matrimony to the former Clara Renee Collins.

Survivors are a devoted wife of three years, Clara Renee Collins Wells, Marshallville, Georgia; three loving children, Corey Ballard, Killeen, Texas, Broderick Ballard Wells, Arlington, Texas and Jessica L. Wells, Belton, Texas; three grandchildren, Alex Ballard, Amaya Ballard and Janessa Wells; stepmother, Paula Joiner Wells, Oglethorpe, Georgia; three siblings Richard Wells, Montezuma, Georgia, Montez Reddings (Rochita) Jonesboro, Georgia, Kenyatta Reddings, Jonesboro, Georgia; two step brothers, Antonio Carter (Laura), Oklahoma, William Joiner (Chloe’), Montezuma, Georgia and Paulette Williams, Montezuma, Georgia; father-in-law, Rev. Jimmy Collins (Flossie Jean), Waco, Texas; mother-in-law, Mable Peggy Marie Williams, Austin, Texas; five brothers-in-law; nine sisters-in-law; aunts and uncles, Joyce Loftly (Willie), Debra West (Gerald), Anginette Carr, Lewis Jordan, all of Montezuma, Georgia, Lindsey Edge (Rev. George), Americus, Georgia and Ronnie Jordan (Liz), Cordele, Georgia; a host of nieces and nephews including a devoted niece, Shaquaveeon Leshon Michelle Mitchell-Martin, Killeen, Texas and a devoted nephew, Richard Wells, Jr., Montezuma, Georgia, godchildren, Jamal Ellis, Tony Robinson and Celine Robinson; a host of other relatives and friends.

Mary King Hamilton, age 61, passed Saturday, June 25, 2011 at Magnolia Manor of Marion County Nursing Home, Buena Vista, Georgia.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, July 2, 2011 at Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc., 607 Kaigler Street, Oglethorpe, Georgia. Interment will follow in the Oglethorpe City Cemetery, Memorial Drive, Oglethorpe, Georgia.

Mary was born September 14, 1949 to S. T. King and Annie Will Ansley King in Buena Vista, Marion County, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Hamilton, Jr., and three siblings, Eddie King, Jr., Cicero Evans, Jr. and Sarah Frances Hartage. She was educated in the public school system of Marion County. She was a member of the Hudson Street Church of Christ, Plains, Georgia.

Survivors are her beloved parents, S. T. King and Annie Will Ansley King, Buena Vista, Georgia; three loving siblings, Willie King, Robert Louis King and Willie Mae Thomas, all of Buena Vista, Georgia; a host of beloved nieces and nephews; other relatives which include several devoted cousins, Cleve Hamilton, Jr. (Annie Pearl), Oglethorpe, Georgia, Nathaniel Hamilton, Ellaville, Georgia, Vera Mae Murray (Richard), Buena Vista, Georgia, Fannie Pearl Germany, Ideal, Georgia, Dorothy Mae Thornton (James), Columbus, Georgia, Mary Louise Baisden (Eddie), Ellaville, Georgia, Abbie Davis, Buena Vista, Georgia, Ruby Jean Hartage, Americus, Georgia, Mr. & Mrs. Aldean Hartage, Leslie, Georgia, Susie Mae Minter, Columbus, Georgia, Matthew Hamilton, Hartford, Connecticut, and Rev. and Mrs. Willie King Dixon, Thomaston, Georgia.

Willie James Monford, age 55, 1022 Harvey Road, Ellaville, Georgia passed Sunday, June 19, 2011 at Phoebe Sumter Hospital, Americus, Georgia.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Saturday morning, June 25, 2011 at New Corinth Baptist Church, Spivey Street, Ellaville, Georgia. Interment will follow in the Hopewell Cemetery.

Willie James was born October 8, 1955 in Ellaville, Schley County, Georgia to the late Henry Monford, Sr. and Mary Kate Minter Monford. He was a 1973 graduate of John Lewis High School. Two sisters, Geraldine Monford and Lucille Monford, preceded him in death.

He was employed with Cooper Lightning of Americus, Georgia as a forklift driver.

Mr. George Ellis, Sr., age 57, 208 Ross St., Montezuma, Georgia passed Thursday, June 9, 2011 at the Coliseum Medical Center, Macon, Georgia.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at Zion Grove Baptist Church, Whitehouse Road, Montezuma, Georgia. Interment followed in Champ Waters Cemetery, Twin Church Road, Montezuma, Georgia. The Reverend Coley Clark, Jr., Pastor, will officiate.

Mr. George Ellis, Sr. was born March 24, 1954 to the late Robert Burnam and Sarah K. Joiner. He was reared also by his stepfather, the late Johnny B. Joiner, Sr. Two grandchildren preceded him in death, A'Shante and My'Asia. Mr. Ellis was a member of the Zion Grove Baptist Church. He attended D. F. Douglass High School and was a member of the class of 1973. He was employed over 25 years for Macon County Meat Processors and Brownlee's Grocery and Market in Americus, Georgia until he retired. He was affectionately known as "Meat Man". He was a skilled butcher and he loved what he did.

George was united in holy matrimony to Brenda Roberts Ellis for 21 years, and to this union three children were born.

He leaves a legacy of love and cherished memories to his family and friends, which include a devoted wife, Brenda Ellis; three children whom loved and adored him, Jameica Ellis Belvin, George Ellis, Jr., and Skyy K. Ellis, all of Montezuma, Georgia; a loving mother, Sarah K. Joiner; one brother, Johnny B. Joiner, Jr. and one sister, Elaine Joiner, both of Montezuma, Georgia; a grandmother-in-law, Beatrice Roberts, Montezuma, Georgia; five aunts, Bertha Fobbs, Helen Hubbard and Gladys Burnam, all of Montezuma, Georgia, Annie Bland and Barbara Joiner, both of Orlando, Florida; five uncles, Izear Joiner, Jr. (Brenda), Minnesota, Frankie Joiner, Leonard Joiner, Layfetta Joiner (Mary), and Eddie B. Mr. Arthur Lee McDonald, age 72, Oglethorpe, Georgia passed Thursday, June 9, 2011 at the Flint River Community Hospital, Montezuma, Georgia.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, June 18, 2011 at Antioch Baptist Church, Georgia Highway 26 West, Oglethorpe, Georgia. Interment will follow in the McDonald Cemetery, Oglethorpe, Georgia.

Arthur Lee McDonald was born September 13, 1938 in Oglethorpe, Macon County, Georgia to the late Mack Arthur McDonald and Agnes Hudson McDonald. He was preceded in death by a close companion, Eleanor Cook and five siblings; Veraldine McDonald Fobbs, Johnny C. McDonald, Anthony “Tony” Harris, Royce McDonald, and Robert Lee Whittaker.

He acquired his education in Macon County and Bibb County school systems. He was a 1961 graduate of Ballard Hudson High School in Macon Georgia. At an early age, he joined the Antioch Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Paul Jones. After 33 years of dedicated service he retired from the Atlanta Board of Education in 1993.

Survivors are his siblings, Joyce McDonald, Geraldine McDonald, and Jannie McDonald all of Atlanta, Georgia, Ernest McDonald (Onita), Louise Taylor and Ernestine Howard (Eddie Joe), all of Oglethorpe, Georgia; brother-in-law, Marshall Fobbs, sister-in-law, Addie McDonald, Atlanta, Georgia and Minnie McDonald, Oglethorpe, Georgia; two special friends, Walter Williams and Thomas Fobbs, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
