Willie James King, Jr., age 76, 313 A Kings Circle, Oglethorpe, Georgia passed Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at Columbus Specialty Hospital, Columbus, Georgia.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Monday morning, August 22, 2011 at Jehovah Baptist Church, 201 Chatham Street, Oglethorpe, Georgia. The Reverend Glenn Bryant, pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in the Oglethorpe City Cemetery.

Willie James King, Jr. was born October 18, 1934 in Oglethorpe, Macon County, Georgia to the late Willie James King, Sr. and Annie Laura Dean King. He was educated in the public school system of Macon County, whereas he attended the historic Rosen Wall School. At an early age, he joined the Jehovah Baptist Church of Oglethorpe, Georgia. He was united in Holy Matrimony to the former Rubie Ballerd. To this union, they were blessed with two daughters. One daughter, Sabrina Robinson, preceded him in death.

Willie James has lived in California, Chicago, Illinois, Amherst, New York and Oglethorpe, Georgia. He was employed in Chicago as a Clerk at a major bookstore. After many dedicated years of service, he retired from North Shore Hospital as a police officer in Amherst, New York. He later moved back to his native land whereas he worked as a Security Officer with Securitas Security at Weyerhauser.

Survivors are one lovely daughter, Regina King, Los Angeles, California; six loving grandchildren; four loving great grandchildren; three siblings, Ann King, Bennie Jean King Harris and Charles King, all of Oglethorpe, Georgia; three nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles, Beatrice Dent, Washington, DC, Ulysses Dean (Brenda), Andersonville, Georgia, Velma Harris, Americus, Georgia, Helen Schofield, Jacksonville, Florida, Grace Taylor, Baltimore, Maryland; brother-in-law, H. C. Harris, Jr., Americus, Georgia; a host of other relatives and friends.

Mr. Anthony Bruce Cleveland, age 58, 1001 North Jackson Street, Americus, Georgia passed Monday, August 8, 2011 at Flint River Community Hospital, Montezuma, Georgia.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, August 11, 2011 at Big Bethel Baptist Church, 1330 North Jackson Street, Americus, Georgia. Burial will follow in Staley Memorial Gardens, North Mayo Street, Americus, Georgia.

Anthony Bruce Cleveland was born November 9, 1952 in Americus, Georgia to the late Lonnie Cleveland and Clydie Ross Cleveland. He was preceded in death by two siblings, Lonna Cleveland and Gregory Cleveland. He was educated in the public school system of Americus, Georgia, where he graduated from the historic Staley High School in 1970. He matriculated at South Georgia Technical School in office business machine repair. He was employed with Georgia Power Company as a lineman for eleven years.

He leaves a legacy of love and memories to his beloved family, which include four children, Tammy Cleveland Turnbull, England, Crystal Antonia Cleveland, Tallahassee, Florida, Tameika Williams, Americus, Georgia and Gregory Costello Cleveland, Mt. Clemens, Michigan; one granddaughter, Mikayla Gamble; siblings, Ross Mitchenor Cleveland (Janet) Fayetteville, Georgia, Winston Cleveland, Fayetteville, Georgia and Cathy Cleveland Cato, Americus, Georgia; his companion, Minnie Davis, Americus, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; a host of other relatives and friends.

Willie Bell Brown

Mrs. Willie Bell Brown, age 93, passed Saturday, August 6, 2011 at the Monroe Community Hospital, Rochester, New York.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, August 13, 2011 at New Bethel Baptist Church, Church Street, Dooling, Georgia. Interment will follow in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery, Dooling, Georgia. The Rev. Lewis Burton, pastor, will officiate.

Mrs. Willie Bell Gray Brown was born December 3, 1917 in Byromville, Dooly County, Georgia to the late Sam Gray and Lula Seay Gray. She was educated in the public school system of Dooly County. At an age she joined the New Bethel Baptist Church where she served every facet of the church she loved so well. She especially dedicated and lifted her voice to Christ for a number of years as a choir member.

After the death of her mother, she was reared by her aunt, Geneva Jones, who preceded her in death, she also was preceded in death by her husband the late Sam Brown, and her baby daughter.

After her health failed, she moved to Rochester, New York to be with her cousin, Pearlie Felder, who cared and nurtured her throughout her illness.

Survivors are her beloved cousin, Pearlie Felder, Rochester, New York, Eva Mae Williams, South Bay, Florida, Lula Chastain, Utica, New York and Earnestine Keeton, West Henrietta, New York; and a host of beloved cousins, other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Pearlie Julia Harris, age 87, 211 Railroad Street, Americus, Georgia passed Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at Magnolia Manor Nursing Center, 2001 South Lee Street, Americus, Georgia.

The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Saturday afternoon, August 6, 2011 at the Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc., 607 Kaigler Street, Oglethorpe, Georgia. Burial will follow in Davis Chapel A.M.E. Church Cemetery, Georgia Highway 26 West, Oglethorpe, Georgia.

Mrs. Pearlie Julia Varner Harris was born December 15, 1923 in Ellaville, Schley County, Georgia to the late Charlie Varner, Sr. and Eugenia Jones Varner. She was educated in the public school system of Schley County. She accepted Christ as her personal Savior and joined the Davis Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church where she served for several years as Secretary and supported every facet of the church she loved so well.

She was united in holy matrimony to Wesley Harris, who preceded her in death in 1999. She was also preceded in death by three sisters and one brother: Mrs. Winnie Mae Ingram Richard, Mrs. Mattie Cary, Mrs. Reatha Vinson Howard and Mr. Charlie Varner, Jr.

Pearlie was employed with various companies which, include Southern Frozen Foods Inc., Montezuma, Georgia as a grader and Montezuma Health Care where she retired as a cook after many dedicated years of service.

She leaves a legacy of love and cherished memories to her beloved sister, nieces and nephews; her sister, Emma Robinson (Henry), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, her nieces, Eula Mae Mintz, Columbus, Georgia, Minnie Jean Ingram, Americus, Georgia, Mrs. Ozie Meadows (Carl), Miami, Florida, Mrs. Reatha Edwards (Phillip), Pembrooke Pines, Florida, Mrs. Pattie Robinson, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Irene Foster (Charlie) her beloved caretaker, Americus, Georgia and Ms. Yvonne Ingram, Americus Georgia; nephews, Charlie Roy Ingram (Susie) Americus, Georgia, Solomon Franklin, Jr., Columbus, Georgia; and a host of beloved relatives and devoted friends, including her spiritual daughter, Linda Cephus of Montezuma, Georgia.

Mr. Love Walton, Jr., age 63, 285 Church Street, Smithville, Georgia passed Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center, Americus, Georgia.

The funeral service will be conducted 11:00 A.M., Saturday, August 6, 2011 at the Zion Hope Baptist Church, Georgia Highway 19 North, Americus, Sumter County, Georgia. The Reverend George Monts, pastor, will officiate.

Love Walton, Jr. was born April 19, 1948 in Americus, Sumter County, Georgia to Mary Louis Mack Walton and the late Love Walton, Sr. He was a 1966 graduate of Sumter County High School. At an early age, he joined the St. Paul A.M.E. Church of Smithville, Georgia. He later joined Zion Hope Baptist Church in 1983, under the leadership of Reverend Jack Johnson whereas he has served in every facet of the church he loved so well.

He was united in Holy matrimony to the former Jacquelyn Johnson. To this union, he was blessed to be the father of five children. After many years of dedicated service, he retired as a farmer. He also was employed with Davidson Textron for years as a press operator. He also was a tractor trailer driver.

Left to remember him with love and affections are his loving and devoted wife of twenty-seven years, Jacquelyn Walton, Smithville, Georgia; five children and their spouses, Ivan Troy Walton (Doris), Riverdale, Georgia, Shantae Richardson (Cobby), Palmetto, Georgia, Dana Johnson, Union City, Georgia, Natasha Mosley, Lawrenceville, Georgia and Tyler Walton (Melissa), Smithville, Georgia; seven loving grandchildren, including a devoted grandson, Christian Walton; one great grandson; his mother, Mary Louis Walton, Smithville, Georgia; seven siblings and their spouses, Mary Banks (Howard), Smithville, Georgia, Anola Hall, Albany, Georgia, Alice Johnson, Smithville, Georgia, Willie H.
