The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, August 11, 2011 at Big Bethel Baptist Church, 1330 North Jackson Street, Americus, Georgia. Burial will follow in Staley Memorial Gardens, North Mayo Street, Americus, Georgia.
Anthony Bruce Cleveland was born November 9, 1952 in Americus, Georgia to the late Lonnie Cleveland and Clydie Ross Cleveland. He was preceded in death by two siblings, Lonna Cleveland and Gregory Cleveland. He was educated in the public school system of Americus, Georgia, where he graduated from the historic Staley High School in 1970. He matriculated at South Georgia Technical School in office business machine repair. He was employed with Georgia Power Company as a lineman for eleven years.
He leaves a legacy of love and memories to his beloved family, which include four children, Tammy Cleveland Turnbull, England, Crystal Antonia Cleveland, Tallahassee, Florida, Tameika Williams, Americus, Georgia and Gregory Costello Cleveland, Mt. Clemens, Michigan; one granddaughter, Mikayla Gamble; siblings, Ross Mitchenor Cleveland (Janet) Fayetteville, Georgia, Winston Cleveland, Fayetteville, Georgia and Cathy Cleveland Cato, Americus, Georgia; his companion, Minnie Davis, Americus, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; a host of other relatives and friends.
