Missionary Edith Tymes Kelley, age 77, 325 Williams Street, Buena Vista, Georgia passed Sunday, November 20, 2016 at the Lillian Carter Nursing Home, Plains, Georgia.

The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, November 26, 2016 at the Josh Gibson Center, Gibson Way, Buena Vista, Georgia. Pastor Larry Franklin, Jr., pastor of Nazarene Church of God In Christ, will officiate. Burial will follow in the Fellowship Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Georgia Highway 41 South, Buena Vista, Georgia.  The remains will lay in state from 11:00 A.M. until the hour of service.

Missionary Kelley was born July 11, 1939 to the parentage of John Tymes and Mae Bryd Slaughter Tymes.  She was preceded in death by nine siblings: Betty Times, Johnnie Mae Jones, Mary Rouse, Annie Ruth Minter, Alberta Hartage, Ethelyn Tymes, Robert Times, James Times, and John Times, Jr.  

She received the Holy Ghost at the Apostolic Faith Church, Miami, Florida under the leadership of Pastor Georgia Smith.  She joined the membership of Shelton Temple COGIC in 1961 under the leadership of the late Elder Luther Shelton.  She was later ordained as a Missionary, Sunday School Teacher, Church Secretary, and District Missionary under the leadership of the late Bishop John Howard Dell.  

In 1961, she was united in holy matrimony to Pastor Charlie Kelley and to this union they were blessed with six children.  She loved her family dearly and that love was reciprocated by her loving husband, children, grandchildren, and Christian family.

She was educated in the public school system of Marion County.  She was a graduate of North Western Senior High in 1958.  She continued her education at Tuskegee University where she pursued a degree in Commercial Cooking and Institutional Management in 1958 – 1959.  She continued her education in Food Management at the University of Georgia where she acquired her certification in Food Management.  She was employed with the State Detention Center, Butler, Georgia where she taught Cooking and Food Management.  After many years of dedicated services, she retired in 2004.

She leaves a legacy  of loving memories to her beloved family including her beloved husband of  fifty-five years, Pastor Charlie Kelley, Buena Vista, Georgia; six children, Brother Reginald Kelley, Evangelist Margie Kelley, Charlie Kelley, and John Kelley, all of Buena Vista, Georgia, Missionary Carol Lott (Olin), New Orleans, Louisiana, and Sgt. James Kelley (Ieishea), Augusta, Georgia; one sister, Irene Smith, Fayetteville, Georgia; two brothers, Allen Times (Peggy), Griffin, Georgia and Arthur Times (Yvonne), Augusta, Georgia; eleven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Julia Woody (Matthew), Mary L. Walton, Bobby Kelley (Earnestine) and Chester Hartage, all of Buena Vista, Georgia, Willie James Kelley, Richland, Georgia and Essie Tymes, Fort Lauderdale, Florida; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Josie Davis

Ms. Josie Davis, age 81, passed on November 17,  2016 at The Medical Center of Central Georgia, Macon Georgia. 

The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 5215 Log Cabin Drive, Macon, Georgia.  A repast will follow at the Alexander Ballroom in the Parkway Village Shopping Center at 3670 Eisenhower Parkway, Macon, Georgia.

Josie Hicks Little Rackley Davis was born July 22, 1935, to William and Dallas Hicks. She is the granddaughter of Bertha Snipes and great granddaughter of Ben and Dinah Snipes.  They have all passed on in death.  She dedicated her life to Jehovah in January 1972 and pioneered for 12 1/2 years. 

Josie was preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Lee Hicks, and sister, Lena Hicks Lockhart.  Her surviving siblings include three sisters: Agnes Hicks of Oglethorpe, Georgia; Pearlene Hicks (Samuel) Wiggins of Winter Park, Florida; and Neuden Hicks (Alvin) Smith of Atlanta, Georgia. 

She was the mother of seven children: Linda Little Rogers of Oglethorpe, Georgia; Vanessa Little (Robert) Lawson, Sheryl Rackley (Charles) Jenkins, Sheila Rackley, and Wendy Davis Buckholtz, all of Macon, Georgia;  James Lewis Rackley, Jr. of Fort Valley, Georgia; and Marvin (Chucky) Davis, Jr. of Warner Robins, Georgia.  Josie had six grandchildren: Andre Little, Jason Wells, Artisha (T.T.) Hosley, Kapryse Lawson, Janya Rackley, and Nathan Buckholtz; also nine great grandchildren. 

She also raised her sister Lena Lockhart's six children as her own: Dorothy, Dallas (Bunny), Larry, Preston, Valeria, and Diane.  In addition, she had a host of neices, nephews, great neices and nephews, and great great neices and nephews, cousins, and friends.  Furthermore she had a worldwide Christian family of brothers and sisters.

In lieu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate cards and donations.

Maggie Lean Walters Fudge, age 92, passed away on November 13, 2016 at the  Montezuma Health & Rehabilitation Center in Montezuma, Georgia.
 
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Jehovah Missionary Baptist Church, 201 Chatham Street, Oglethorpe, Georgia where the Reverend Glenn Bryant is Pastor. The Reverend Alvin Turner, Pastor of Mr. Olive Baptist Church will officiate. Committal Service will be held at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Byromville, Georgia. Repast will follow committal service at the fellowship Hall of Jehovah Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. 
  
The Life & Legacy of
Mrs. Maggie Lean Fudge
Sunrise: February 17, 1924 - Sunset: November 13, 2016
Maggie Lean Walters, affectionately known as Mother and Grandmother to her family, was born to the parentage of the late Mr. Green Walters, Sr. and Mrs. Annie Witchard Walters on February 17, 1924 in Byromville, Georgia. Maggie met the love of her life and became the devoted wife of the late Mr. Eddie Fudge, Sr. To this union, nine wonderful children were born. The family relocated to the city of Montezuma, Georgia where Maggie called home. Maggie confessed Christ as her savior and joined the Mt. Olive Baptist Church at an early age. She served faithfully for many dedicated years as Head Senior Usher. Maggie supported and served on many auxiliaries and committees of the church, until her health began to fail.

Maggie was preceded in death by two loving and devoted sons, Theotis Fudge, Sr. and Eddie Fudge, Jr. She was also preceded in death by her loving, devoted and beautiful granddaughters, Delores Ann Brown and Felecia June Thomas, and her loving and devoted grandsons, Gregory Thomas, Roderick Fudge and Anthony West, Sr.  She was also preceded in death by a host of devoted and loving brothers and sisters, Lloyd Walters, Green Walters, Jr., Alvenia McKenzie, Willie Maude Lester, Willie Mae Simpson, Minnie Lee Oglesby and Bertha Lee Walters Hamilton.

Maggie retired from Southern Frozen Foods, Inc. in Montezuma, Georgia after 22 years of dedicated service as a Team Lead/Grader. Maggie loved to cook for her family and never missed an opportunity to share the love of God with her family and friends. Maggie was instrumental in managing and cooking at the Custard Cottage Café downtown Montezuma in the 1970’s. It was there that she shared her many recipes for her famous homemade pastries and desserts. Her favorite saying was “I have plenty, help yourself.” She never missed an opportunity to prepare a home-cooked meal for her family when they came to visit, from far and near.

Maggie L. Fudge, heard the call of her Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 13, 2016 from labor to rest. Maggie leaves to cherish a legacy of love to her loving and devoted children, Lillie Thomas (Rev. David), Arlena Fudge, Willie Frank Fudge, Sr. (Marilyn), and Peggy L. Fudge, all of Montezuma, Georgia, Annie L. Brown Warner Robins, Georgia, Vanessa Fudge and Leon Fudge (Carmen) all of Atlanta, Georgia; a loving and devoted granddaughter whom she reared as her own daughter, Tarshea Fudge-Riley (Christopher) of Montezuma, Georgia; several loving and devoted grandchildren whom she reared for a period of time and loved very dearly. Christina R. Brown and Jerel L. Brown of Warner Robins, Georgia, Stanley Brown, Jr. and Sheanglela B. Norwood, both of Stone Mountain, Georgia, Darren Hall of Montezuma, Georgia and Carmela Fudge Harris Atlanta, Georgia; a loving and devoted brother Danny Walters, Sr. (Gwendolyn), Akron Ohio; loving and devoted sisters, Lelia Lester, Tampa, Florida and Lena Reddick, Akron, Ohio; a loving and devoted brother-in-law, James Lewis Fudge of Montezuma, Georgia. Maggie leaves to cherish a beautiful generation of grands, great grands and great great grands. Maggie will truly be missed by a host of loving family members, loving nieces and nephews throughout California, Georgia, Florida, Atlanta and Ohio.  Her legacy and quiet, gentle spirit will forever be treasured in the Spaulding community in which she invited many to share her famous Sunday dinners. Many adopted Mrs. Maggie as their Godmother and Grandmother, for she never turned them away. She loved and treated them as her own children and family.

Dorothy Inez Hall Beal, age 88, of Montezuma, Georgia passed Monday, November 14, 2016 at the Heart of Georgia Hospice, Perry, Georgia.
 
The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 P.M., Friday, November, 18, 2016 at St. Paul A.M.E. Church, 114 Johnson Street, Oglethorpe, Georgia, where Reverend Norris Harris is pastor. Elder Lee Willie Hall, Pastor of From Disgrace to God Grace Ministries, Inc. of Montezuma, Georgia, will officiate. Interment will follow in the Oglethorpe City Cemetery, Memorial Drive, Oglethorpe, Georgia.
 
Mrs. Dorothy was born March 7, 1928 in Macon County, Georgia to the late Henry Hall, Sr. and Mattie Lue Lloyd.  She was preceded in death by her siblings, Bessie Clara Mallard, Rosie Lee Taylor, Henry Hall, Jr., Aaron Lloyd Hall, Alma Robinson, Claude Williams, Lonnie Hall, Bud Hall, and Ilene Hart. At an early age she joined Mt. Zion AME Church of New York Community. She later moved her membership to St. Paul A.M.E. Church. She was educated in the public school system of Macon County.
 
She was married to the late Willie Arthur Beal, Sr. on March 7, 1946 and to this union they were blessed with seven children. One daughter, Dorothy Loman, and one grandson, Marvin Schofield, preceded her in death.
 
Dorothy enjoyed working at her vegetable and fruit stand.  She would always have the freshest vegetables and fruits. She always greeted you with a friendly smile and hello.
 
She retired as a CNA and Housekeeper from Montezuma Health & Rehabilitation Center after many years of dedicated services. She also worked as a private duty nurse, Southern Frozen Food, and ILC.
 
Survivors are her children, Millard Beal (Jannie), Robert Beal (Vera), Annie Lue Smith, and Obie Beal, all of Montezuma, Georgia, Thomas Beal (Cynthia) of Warner Robins, Georgia, and Raymond Beal of Montezuma, Georgia; 22 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, including two devoted nieces, Liza B. Sanders & Family of Montezuma, Georgia and Elsie Martin & Family of Warner Robins, Georgia; one sister-in-law, Marie Hall of Washington, D.C.; stepchildren, Beverly Harper (Hayward) of Vienna, Georgia, Willie Sanders, Ernestine Sanders, both of Montezuma, Georgia, and Harriet Sanders; and a host other relatives and friends.

Ms. Cynthia Ingram, age 65, 331 Pineville Road, Apt. D23, Buena Vista, Georgia passed Friday, November 11, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital, Columbus, Georgia.  

The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, November 19, 2016 at the Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, Mt. Carmel Road, Buena Vista, Marion County, Georgia.  The Reverend Kenney Gouch, pastor will officiate.  Interment will follow in the Evan Chapel C.M.E. Church cemetery, Churchill Road, Preston, Webster County, Georgia.

Cynthia was born June 11, 1951 in Preston, Webster County, Georgia to the late Ernest Ingram and Irene Holloman Ingram.  She was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Betty McMurray (Jimmy, Sr.).  She was a 1969 graduate of the historic Ida S. Lowery High School of Preston, Georgia.  She retired as a CNA from Magnolia Manor Marion Nursing Home, Buena Vista, Georgia after many years of dedicated services.  Ms Ingram was employed with several other companies including Curtis Seafood.

At an early age she joined the Evan Chapel Christian Methodist Episcopal Church of Preston, Georgia.  Cynthia greatest enjoyment in life was serving others and taking care of her children and grandchildren.

She loved her children and leaves to cherish her memories: six children, Sandra Ingram, Keysha Ingram, and Antonio Ingram (Janice) all of Buena Vista, Georgia, Tamako Holloway (Kenneth) and Alonequia Hawkins of Columbus, Georgia, Anthony Ingram (Mandy), Cincinnati, Ohio; ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; one sister, Gloria Battle (Henry) Buena Vista; four nieces and nephews she reared, Fredrick Battle, Albany, Georgia, Quenton Battle (Shenequia), Cusseta, Georgia, Nicole McMurray and Jimmy McMurray, Jr. of Columbus, Georgia;  five great nieces and nephews and two great great nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.​

Jermaine Johnson, age 33, passed on October 29, 2016 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus, Georgia.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 P.M., Friday, November 11, 2016 at New Corinth Baptist Church, 220 Spivey Street, Ellaville, Georgia, where Reverend Brain Ramey is pastor. Dr. Angeli Smith will officiate.    

Jermaine was born on May 1, 1983, in Atlanta, Georgia  to Larry Johnson Sr. and the late Marsha Ruth Merritt Johnson. He was educated in the public school system of Dekalb, Schley and Sumter  County.

He was survived by his father, Larry Johnson Sr., Americus, Georgia; a brother, Larry Johnson, Jr.; one nephew Le’Jaylen Mikale Johnson, Americus, Georgia; aunts and uncles, Jerryel Battle, Americus, Georgia, Michael Battle (Karen), Charleston, South Carolina, and Terry Tyson, Americus, Georgia, Evelyn Hayes, Jacksonville, Florida, Kenneth Terry (Sarah), Atlanta, Georgia, and Freida Jones, Americus, Georgia, other relatives, and friends.

Mrs. Iona Gaines Mitchell, age 91, 118 Nelson Avenue, Ideal, Georgia passed Friday, November 4, 2016 at Phoebe Sumter Hospital, Americus, Georgia.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Travelers Home Missionary Baptist Church, Travelers Home Road, Ideal, Georgia. Rev. Carl Munns, pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in the Lebanon Cemetery.

Iona was born December 21, 1924 in Ideal, Macon County, Georgia to the late Nancy Hall Gaines Black and the late Russell Gaines.  She acquired her education at the Historic Grangeville Elementary School of Ideal, Georgia.  Iona was joined in holy matrimony to the late Andrew Mitchell, and to this union seven children was born.  One, Ornetta Mitchell, preceded her in death.

She retired from Southern Frozen Foods after many years of services.  She accepted Jesus Christ and joined the Freewill Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. C.A. Coleman.  Then she joined the Travelers Home Baptist Church where she served as an usher for many years until her health started to decline.  

She loved her children and leaves to cherish her memories: six children, Elton Mitchell, Americus, Georgia, Roy Mitchell (Brenda), Atlanta, Georgia, Gwendolyn Montford, and Michelle Mitchell, both of Ideal, Georgia, Stevie Mitchell (Shon), Alexandria, Louisiana, and Albert Mitchell, Montezuma, Georgia; fifteen grandchildren, including three devoted ones, Michael, Tosha, and DeAngela; one sister, Louise Pettway, Stockbridge, Georgia and brother-in-law, Leroy Mitchell, Columbus, Georgia, and a host of beloved nieces including three devoted Pat, Gloria, and Kit, nephews, cousins and friends.
