Funeral services will be conducted Monday, April 4, 2022, at 1:00 P.M. at Josh Gibson Center, Rogers Street, Buena Vista, Georgia. Interment will follow in Bethel A.M.E. Church Cemetery, Fire Tower Road, Cusseta, Georgia.
Please be mindful that we will adhere to all government recommendations and mandates at all services at this time. We are limiting graveside seating to no more than 10 with masks being strongly encouraged. Other masked attendees are welcomed but will be expected to practice social distancing.
Graveside services, including burials, are likely to be held on ground that is uneven, which is out of the control of Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. We ask that you take this into consideration when choosing footwear, such as shoes with high, thin heels. Please be advised that Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. will not be held responsible for injuries at a grave site because of this.
Annie was born June 30, 1949, to the late Erma Christine Royal and the late George Royal in Buena Vista, Marion County, Georgia.
She was educated in the public school system of Marion County and was a 1968 graduate of Buena Vista High School. She was a member of Poplar Spring Baptist Church whereas she served on the Usher Board Ministry. She also supported every facet of the church she loved so well.
She was preceded in death by one son, Donnell Royal, her parents, George and Erma Christine Royal, three brothers, Larry Royal, Johnny Royal, Robert Royal two sisters, Bertha Sneed and Mary Alice Prather.
She leave a legacy of love and many fond memories eight siblings and their spouses which include: Earlene Moore (Alex), Miami, Florida; Theresa Seldon (Jessie), Columbus, Georgia, Deborah Kelly (Jimmie), Buena Vista, Georgia, Andria Battle (Howard) Ladonia, Alabama, Jerry Royal, Buena Vista, Georgia, Benjamin Royal (Sarah), Milton Royal (Dorothy), Buena Vista, Georgia and Arthur Darrell Royal (Alicia); a host of nieces and nephews including Neina (Daniel Gay) of Buena Vista, Georgia; and a devoted friend Gwen Mitchell, Buena Vista, Georgia.
