
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, May 8, 2010 at Ebenezer Baptist Church, Church Street, Andersonville, Georgia. Interment will follow in Freeman Hill Cemetery, Freeman Road, Andersonville, Georgia.
Alphonso Bernard Haslam was born December 18, 1960 in Fort Valley, Peach County, Georgia to Otis Haslam and Gwendolyn Ball Haslam. He was educated in the public school system of Peach County and a 1979 graduate of Peach County High School. He earned a vocational certificate in Automobile Mechanic during his high school vocational training. He obtained his Master Mechanic Certificate on the job training from Sears Automotive Department of Warner Robins, Georgia.
Alphonso joined the Ebenezer Baptist Church of Andersonville, Georgia whereas he was an ordained deacon and lead guitarist in the Ebenezer Choir. He faithfully supported the Youth Ministry.
Alphonso was united in holy matrimony to his one and only love, Cynthia Grover Haslam. To this union they were blessed with three children. One son, Octavius Terrell Haslam preceded him in death on November 9, 2009. He was also blessed to be a favorite uncle and devoted father in spirit and love to Kelvin Stevon Grover.
Survivors are a wife of 17 years, Cynthia Haslam, Warner Robins, Georgia; two children, Alphonso B.
