Albert "Junebug" McDonald, formerly of Andersonville, Georgia passed on December 15, 2022, in Miami, Florida.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, December 31, 2022, at Ebenezer Baptist Church, Church Street, Andersonville, Georgia. Burial will follow at the Davis Chapel Cemetery, Hwy 26, Oglethorpe, Georgia. 

​Graveside services, including burials, are likely to be held on ground that is uneven, which is out of the control of Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. We ask that you take this into consideration when choosing footwear, such as shoes with high, thin heels. Please be advised that Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. will not be held responsible for injuries at a grave site because of this.

Mr. Albert McDonald, also known as "Junebug," was born on December 13, 1945, in Macon County, Georgia to the late Albert McDonald and Rosetta Williams McDonald. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Otis McDonald and John McDonald. He was educated in the public school system of Macon County. He worked for Mulcoa for 10 years before he moved to Miami in 1967. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. He worked for Paramount Vending until he retired.

On, Thursday, December 15, 2022, Mr. Albert McDonald was called to rest in the presence of the Lord.

He is survived by his wife, Wylene McDonald, daughter, Tamika McDonald, grandchildren Warren Davis and Janelle Robinson and great granddaughter Ivory Davis. He is also survived by two daughters he helped raised, Danielle Wilder and Louise Hepburn. He is also survived by his siblings Shirley Wells, Catherine McDonald, Etta Mae (Bennie) McDonald and Milton McDonald all of Andersonville, Deacon Charlie (Bonnette) McDonald, Montezuma, Georgia, Willie (Irene) McDonald, Tampa, Florida and Edward McDonald of Buena Vista, Georgia. He also leaves to cherish The Townes Family and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mr. Michael Allan Small, age 62, passed on December 19, 2022.  

The graveside service will be conducted Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at 1:00 P.M. at Evergreen Cemetery in Mauk, Georgia. Pastor Brown of Evergreen Baptist Church will officiate.

Michael Allan Small was born in Mauk, Georgia July 17, 1960, to the late Charlie B. Small and Martha Renee Sanders Small. He was educated in the Taylor County Public School System. After many years he retired from Wall Pulpwood Company and The Junction City Mining Co. of Talbotton, Georgia of 9 years.

Survivors include five siblings, Susan Small Tookes (Aubrey), Oglethorpe, Georgia, Roxanne Small, Allen Small (Barbara), Alfred Small, and Gary Small, all of Buena Vista, Georgia; stepson, Derell Leonard of Junction City, Georgia; a host of nieces and nephews, and a devoted friend, Ms. Gloria Atkinson of Tallahassee, Florida.

Johnny Lewis Campbell passed on December 15, 2022, at the age of 63.

​The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, December 23, 2022, at Josh Gibson Center, 20 Gibson Way, Buena Vista, Georgia. Burial will follow at the Hillard Chapel C.M.E. Church Cemetery, State Route 352, Buena Vista, Georgia 31803.

Johnny Lewis Campbell was born in Long Branch, New Jersey on June 9, 1959 to the late Carrie Ethel Fowler Campbell and Curtis Campbell, Sr. He was a 1977 graduate of Tri-County High School in Buena Vista, Georgia.

On December 15, 2022, Johnny received his wings when God called him home to rest. Left to cherish his memory are wife and mother of his children, Ethel Hollis-Campbell; his children, Bobbie Campbell-Blue (Kendle) of McDonough, Georgia and Julius Campbell of Ellaville, Georgia; bonus children, Angela Cross and Charles Cross both of Americus, Georgia; grandchildren, Troy Cooper, Jordan Cooper, and Joshua Blue; bonus grandchild, Traevon Butler; a devoted companion, Georgia Thomas of Americus, Georgia; siblings, Barbara Jackson (James) and Curtis Campbell both of Columbus, Georgia, Diane Campbell Givens of Jonesboro, Georgia, and Lisa Campbell of Columbus, Georgia; aunts, Bernice Thornton, Dixie Jones, Elizabeth Murray, Earline Stratton, Martha Fowler, Emma Jane Davis, and Betty Preston; uncles, Homer Fowler, Curtis Fowler (Mariah), and Milton Fowler; Macon aunts and uncle, Hattie Sands, Geraldine Walker, Connie Cotton, and Kenneth Dumas; best friend, Carolyn Sims, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Dearest Friend & Family,

Our beloved, Mrs. Irene J. Edge, passed away on December 14, 2022, at Magnolia Manor Nursing Home in Americus, GA, she was 82. We welcome friends and family to leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on the memorial page of Mrs. Irene J. Edge to show support. 

Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M., Friday, December 23, 2022, at Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, 607 Kaigler Street, Oglethorpe, Georgia. Burial will follow at Union Hill A.M.E. Church Cemetery, Spivey Street, Ellaville, Georgia.

She was loved and cherished and is survived by loving Husband Mr. Eddie James “EJ” Edge, dedicated Son Mr. Jeffrey J. Jimpson, Step-Daughter Ella Jordan (Lance), Step-Son Hiawatha Phleps (Miska), her brother Mr. Robert Storey, her sisters Mrs. Ella Pearl Williamson and Mrs. Eva Mae Stephenson, several grandchildren Mrs. Jakendra & Kevin Moss, Jeffrey J. Jimpson Jr., Jaden Jeovianna J. Jimpson, Jace Ja’mere Jimpson and former Daughter In-Law Ms. Kimberly J. Roach, Elexius R. Edwards , Tyler Roach and Syquan Hudson, along with a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

She was born May 11, 1941, in Ellaville, GA and is predeceased by her parents Mr. Bennie & Eva Storey, her (late Husband) Mr. Herbert F. Jimpson, her sister Una B. Storey, her brother Mr. Franklin & Mrs. Helen Storey, her brother Leonard Storey.

She earned her education at John Lewis. After retiring, she was called to become a Minister of Music (Pianists) for several local churches for a span of 30 years, spreading the word of GOD.

She was active in the political process for equal rights for all people. After the untimely passing of her late-husband Mr. Herbert F. Jimpson, she was a devoted mother rearing her son.  

She loved math, reading, writing, singing, gardening, playing the piano and praising the Lord. She welcomed all and gave her time, compassion and advice to those in need.

Mrs. Irene as she was called, married the honorable and loving Mr. Eddie James “EJ” Edge, where they shared their life together creating laughter and great music together as to which she was called to become a Minister of Music (Pianists) for several local churches and Magnolia Manor Nursing homes for a span of 30 years, spreading the word of GOD.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, December 17, 2022, at United Holiness Church, 901 Aaron Snipes Sr. Drive, Americus, Georgia. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery,  Mt. Zion Road, Buena Vista, Georgia. Masks are required.

Gloria Aldridge Woods was born on February 3, 1954, to the late Joe and Mary Lois Aldridge in Buena Vista, Georgia.  She was one of 10 siblings and she always valued the memories of growing up in a big family, how their parents worked hard to provide for them and how she appreciated the peace and quiet of “country-living”.  It was during this time Gloria found her passion for cooking, caretaking for her younger siblings, sewing and gardening in which she continued to be involved in throughout her life.  In 1973, she married the love of her life, the late James E. Woods Sr. and to this union three children were born.  She was an exceptional wife and mother that cared deeply and devoted her life to raising her children to have a servant heart for family, friends and any one they met along the way.

Gloria accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior in 1977 and was a faithful member of United Holiness Church, Inc. in Americus, Georgia for over 40 years. Her faith was always centermost and she sincerely loved her work for the ministry which was evident in everything she did.  

Gloria was employed by Manhattan Shirt Company and Middle Flint Behavioral Healthcare for a combined 45 years where she was known for being a quiet but strong person who would give you a sense of calm and peace when talking with her because you could feel her love of Jesus in her eyes and words.  

Those left to cherish her memories include her children James E. Woods Jr. (Keisha), Leesburg, Georgia; Jennifer O. Woods, Macon, Georgia; and Jessika S. Woods, Americus, Georgia; her beloved grandsons:  Second Lieutenant Treshawn D. Woods, Fort Lee, Virginia; Jerrod T. Woods, Kennesaw, Georgia; and grandpuppy:  Ruby Bella Woods; her siblings: Janice (Benjamin) Walker, Columbus, Georgia; Brenda Minter, Hartford, Connecticut; Joanna (Donald) McCrary, Stockbridge, Georgia; Terrell Aldridge, Columbus, Georgia; Vivian Booker, Columbia, South Carolina; Willie Mae (Derek) Lane, Seattle, Washington; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, lifelong friends and her devoted caregivers Carol Hart Hollis and Tamia Smith.  She was preceded in death by her siblings Larry, Roland, and Frankie Aldridge.

The graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, December 10, 2022, in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Whiteline Street, Montezuma, Georgia.

Emma Jackson was born on June 3, 1955,  in Montezuma, Georgia to the late Catherine Patterson and the late Joe Hawkins. At an early age she joined a band of Christian believers at Bethel A.M.E. Church in Montezuma Ga, where she served as a choir member. She received her education in the public school system of Macon County and was a graduate of the historic D. F. Douglass High School.  She furthered her education at Monroe Business College in New York, and went on to graduate from Alabama State University with a Bachelor Degree in  Business.  Emma enjoyed working at the Montezuma Methodist Church, where she cared for many precious children . She worked various jobs including a bus monitor with the  Macon County Board of Education.

She leaves to cherish her memories to her loving daughter, Ivory Jackson, Montezuma, Georgia; siblings Frederick Jackson (Alice), Donald Jackson, Landis Ogburn, Bernette Boland, all of Montezuma, Georgia, and Bernice Barret, Bronx, New York; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and the Montezuma Methodist Church family.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, December 5, 2022, at First Baptist Church, 1135 Watson Blvd, Warner Robins, Georgia. ​

Keisha Keiana Mckay was born February 5, 1996, in Fort Benning, Georgia to Linda McKay and Keith Francis. She was educated in the public school system of Houston County and  received her high school diploma  from  Northside High School in Warner Robins, Georgia. She furthered her education at the Fort Valley State University and went on to graduate from Macon State College with a Bachelor Degree in Medical Administration. She was employed with Alocria Health Medical and Papa John's Pizza.  At an early age Keisha joined and was baptized at  First Baptist Church in Warner Robins, Georgia.  Keisha enjoyed arts and crafts, baking, planning events, and just making everyone happy. She will forever be remembered in the hearts of her family.  

Kiesha is survived by her beautiful precious daughter, Shyloh Rose Richardson; parents Linda McKay and Keith Francis; siblings Veranique Foster, Marcus Foster, Nathan Francis; nephews Jadarius Foster, Nicholas Francis; niece, Sunni Francis; uncles Kennad McKay (Tecia), Al McKay (Angela); great aunts Leola Brown, Dorris A. Thomas ; Great uncles Jerome Gardner (Mary), Joseph Mckay; her beloved extended family, fiancé, Brevon Richardson,  his mom Victoria Richardson, his sister Shayrun Richardson, his grandmother, Lorraine Sessoms, his aunts Katrina A McCaine, Katina Black; best friend Jenna Wheeler (Triatan); her furry family, Scar, Bama, and Nila; a host of other relatives and friends.
