Jimmie Lee Felton Sr., age 81, passed on October 28, 2020 at Heartland Hospice in Perry, Georgia.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 P.M., Sunday, November 1, 2020 at Colonel Felton Cemetery South Street, Marshallville, Georgia.

Please be mindful that we will adhere to all government recommendations and mandates at all services at this time. We are limiting graveside seating to no more than 10 with masks being strongly encouraged. Other masked attendees are welcomed but will be expected to practice social distancing.

Jimmie Lee Felton Sr. was born December 25, 1938 in Marshallville, Georgia to the late Willie James Felton and the late Johnnie Baldwin Felton. He was preceded in death by one daughter Vanessa Felton, two siblings Hattie Rumph and Franklin Felton. He was educated in the public school system of Macon County and was a graduate of the historic Lamson Richardson School in Marshallville, Georgia. At an early age he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. Jimmie was a faithful member of St. James C.M.E. Church where he sang proudly and joyfully in the male choir. He also served on the board of trustees. On May 9, 1959 two hearts became one when Jimmie married the love of his life Earlene Barnes. He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the LORD, Proverbs 18:22. As their love blossomed they were blessed  with four loving children. He loved fishing and sports always supporting the home team the Atlanta Braves and Falcons. Jimmie was a family man who always did his best to provide for his family. He was employed with Blue Bird Body Company as a Paint Technician  and retired after 45 years of services.

He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted wife of 61 years Earlene Felton, Marshallville, Georgia, four children Babbie Felton, Marshallville,  Georgia, Dr. Jimmie Felton Jr. (Diya) Americus, Georgia,  Leonard Felton, Vinings, Georgia, and Curtis Davis ( Minnie Lee), Marshallville, Georgia ;  four grandchildren Jonathan Felton (Laquawn), Ursula Marshall, Colby Felton and Noah Felton; four great grandchildren Jada Felton, Yazmyne Walton, Harlem Felton, and King Felton; four siblings , a very devoted brother  Eugene Felton Sr., Eddie Felton, Willie James Felton (Geneva), and Rudolph Felton all of Marshallville, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends including two devoted friends  Willie Granville and  Paul Buckner.

LaKeisha was born in Americus, Georgia October 7, 1983 to Agnes Wallace and Eddie Hall.  She was a graduate of Macon County High School.

She was the beloved granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Newray Wallace, Sr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Hall, Sr.

Survivors include a loving daughter, Kerrieonna Hall, Ellaville, Georgia; her parents, Agnes Wallace, Ellaville, Georgia  and Eddie Hall, Montezuma, Georgia; one sister, Brittany Wallace, Marshallville, Georgia; one nephew, Ethan Wallace, Marshallville, Georgia; aunts and uncles, Sherri Wallace Williams (Ronnie), Maryland, Jeffery Wallace, Kansas, Deborah Wallace Mathis (J.D.), Phillip Wallace, Tanya Wallace and Marvin Hall all of Oglethorpe, Georgia, Charlie Roy Hall (Tammy Warren), Ft. Ethel Lee Minter Jones, age 91, 305 King Road, Ellaville, Georgia passed on October 22, 2020 at her residence surrounded by family.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Monday, October 26, 2020 at Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery, Dozier Road, Ellaville, Georgia.

Ethel Lee Minter Jones was born December 24, 1928 in Schley County, Georgia to the late Albert Minter, Sr. and Effie Ross Minter. She was educated in the public school system of Schley County. Ethel joined Ebenezer Baptist Church at an early age. She supported every facet of the church she loved so well. She served on the Deaconess Board Ministry and as Mother of the church. Ethel was associated with the Ellaville Light Order of Eastern Star Chapter NO 323. She was united in holy matrimony on April 8, 1950 to the late Deacon Charlie Jones Sr. To this union, five children were born. She loved her children dearly and that love was reciprocated.  Her favorite hobbies included word puzzles, watching T.V., listening to gospel, and cooking  and feeding anyone who came to visit.

She leaves to rejoice her beautiful memories her five children and their spouses, James Jones, Americus, Georgia, Ozella Jones Hinton, Marilyn Jackson (Nathanial), all of  Ellaville, Georgia, Charlie Jones Jr. (Wanda), Buena Vista, Georgia, Timothy Jones, Warner Robins, Georgia; thirteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Marie Ray, Maggie Jones, both of Jacksonville, Florida, Martha Jones, Los  Angeles, California; a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.

​Marion Harpe Smith, age 69, 9806 GA Hwy 90 West, Ideal, Georgia passed Tuesday morning, October 20, 2020 at the Houston Medical Center, Warner Robins, Georgia.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, October 25, 2020 at the Taylor Memorial Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Paynebottom Community. Elder Roosevelt Miller, pastor of Mt. Carmel Primitive Baptist Church, will officiate.

Marion was born August 6, 1951 in Ideal, Macon County, Georgia to the late Homer Harpe and the late Ora  Mae Duncan Harpe.  She was educated in the public school system of Macon County whereas she was a 1969 graduate of D. F. Douglass High School.   She was preceded in death by two siblings, a sister-in-law, devoted nephew and brother in law Henry Robert Beal; Ailene Harpe Fulks, Herman and Mamie Hughey Harpe, and Ronald Harpe.

She was a dedicated member of Mt. Carmel Primitive Baptist Church of Ideal, Georgia whereas she supported every facet of the church she loved so well. She joined the church  on September 24, 2007 and was baptized on November 24, 2007 under the leadership of Elder Roosevelt Miller.   After several years of dedicated services she retired from Southern Frozen Food, Inc as a line technician.

She was blessed to be the mother of four children: Reginald Smith (Michelle) Vienna, Georgia, Patrice Smith, Marshallville, Georgia, Kenya Smith Atlanta, Georgia and LaToya Smith, Ideal, Georgia; twenty grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren;  five siblings, Eddie Harpe, Raleigh, North Carolina, Vera Harpe Beal, Bettie Harpe, both of Ideal, Georgia, Tarry Harpe (Barbara), Oglethorpe, Georgia, Shelyn Harpe, Ideal, Georgia;  a brother-in-law, Elzie Fulks, Ideal, Georgia; aunt, Alice Duncan, Oglethorpe, Georgia;  a host of friends including several devoted, Patricia Walker, Virginia Mitchell Hamilton, Linda Tookes, Annie Floyd Harris; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including the pastor and members of Mt. Carmel Primitive Baptist Church.

Winfred Davis Sr.

​Mr. Winfred “Bubba” Davis, Sr., age 67, passed October 10, 2020 at the Coliseum North Side Hospital, Macon, Georgia.

Winfred was born October 11, 1953 in Houston County, Georgia to the parentage of the late Mrs. Mildred Lloyd Davis and Walter Davis, Sr. Three siblings, Albert Davis, James Davis, and Arthur Lee Davis, preceded him in death.

He attended the public school system of Houston County. He did carpentry work most of his life and was employed with Proctor and Gamble.

A precious one from us is gone; a voice we love is still, a place is vacant in our hearts, that can never more be filled.

Those that are left to cherish his memory are his son, Winfred Davis, Jr., Perry, Georgia; siblings, Roland Leggett, (Shirley), Perry, Georgia, Mattie C. Nunez (George), Winter Haven, Florida, Christine Daniels (Robert), and Shirley Sutton, all of Perry, Georgia, Glen` Dale (Tammy), Fort Valley, Georgia, Connie Davis and Dana Davis all of Perry, Georgia; a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends including four devoted, Freddie Riddley, Ernest Fielder, Amy Danielly and Faith Johnson.

Daniel Cornelius Gay, better known as  “Lil Boone,” of 331 Pineville Rd. Apt # B-6 Buena Vista, Georgia passed Sunday night, October 18, 2020 at the Columbus Hospice, 7010 Moon Road. Columbus, Georgia at the age of 32.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Saturday morning, October 24, 2020 at the Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church Cemetery, Oliver Street, Buena Vista, Georgia.  The Reverend Kenny Gouch, pastor of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, will officiate.

Daniel was born June 14, 1988 in Americus, Sumter County, Georgia to Daniel Durand Gay and Vanessa Jackson Battle.  He was educated in the public school system of  Marion County whereas he was a 2006 graduate of Tri-County High School.  He acquired his Christian training by attending Hall Chapel CME Church.

During his early life he was employed with several different companies.  His last employment was with Alatrade of Phenix City, Alabama.

He leaves a legacy of love and many fond memories to his beloved parents, Vanessa Jackson Battle (step father, Tony), and Daniel Durand Gay (stepmother, Neina) all of Buena Vista, Georgia; six children, Kentavious Gay, Alyicia Gay, Kace Glass, Chistian Swanson, Caleb Swanson all of Buena Vista, Georgia and Jordan Wright, Columbus, Georgia; two amazing stepdaughters, A’Nessia Gay and Aalyria Hawkins; paternal grandmother, Phosia Dixon, Buena Vista, Georgia; paternal great grandmother, Katherine Jackson, Buena Vista, Georgia; paternal step grandparents, James and Pearlie Josey, Buena Vista, Georgia; a special and devoted girlfriend, Dinesha Gay, Buena Vista, Georgia; three siblings, Kenisha Gay, Dominque King, and LaVivian Gay; aunts and uncles, Leon Dixon (Rhonda), Byron, Georgia, Tony Williams, Ft. ​Eugene “Gene” Williamson was born in Schley County, Georgia on September 15, 1939 to the parentage of Felix Williamson, Sr. and Mary Lee Melvin Williamson.  He departed this life on Sunday, October 18, 2020 in Americus, Georgia.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, October 23, 2020 at Staley Memorial Gardens, Americus, Georgia.

Gene was educated in the public schools of Schley County, graduating from John Lewis High School. His family worshipped at Ebenezer Baptist Church and he was a member for many years. Gene was raised on a farm in Schley County along with his many siblings.  He was a hard worker and the day to day exposure to this way of life helped him to develop a love for farming and gardening, which became his passion. He pursued this passion throughout his life.  He loved the outdoors and never ventured far from the land. He worked for years at Rainbow Farms and Magnolia Manor; in his later years, his work transitioned to landscaping and lawn care as a means of providing a living for himself and his family. 

In addition to his parents, Gene was preceded in death by a loving daughter, Ms. Maxine Williamson and six siblings:  Felix Williamson, Jr.  James Edward Williamson, Robert “B” Williamson, Willie James Williamson, Cora Dell Williamson Black, Lora Mae Simmons, and brother-in-law, Jimmy Beavers.

​Mrs. Hazel Williams Harp, age 80, 4806 GA Hwy 49 South, Andersonville, Georgia passed Thursday evening, October 15, 2020 at her home surrounded by her husband and children.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at the Oglethorpe City Cemetery, Memorial Drive, Oglethorpe, Georgia.  Pastor Henry Carson will officiate.

Mrs. Hazel Williams Harp was born May 11, 1940 in Americus, Sumter County, Georgia to the late Virgil Williams and the late Clydie B. Ingram Williams.  She was a graduate of the Sumter County School System.  She was a member of the New Life Holiness Church and a retiree of Hickory Spring of Americus, Georgia.  She retired as a small machine operator.

She was united in holy matrimony to Ernest Harp Jr., and to this union they were blessed with seven children. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Stephanie Harp Hillman and Gwenda Harp Fredrick; granddaughter, KaToshara Hillmon; and her daughter-in-law, Sesame Cotton Harp.  She was also preceded in death by seven siblings, Walter B. Williams, James Williams, Virgil Williams, Jr., Arthur Williams, Thomas Williams, Furlow Williams, Christine Williams and Mary Dean Harp.

​Left with a legacy of love and many fond memories are a beloved husband of sixty years, Ernest Harp, Jr., Andersonville, Georgia; five children and their spouses, Cynthia Harp, Ernest B. Harp both of Andersonville, Georgia, Stanford Harp (Debra), Perry, Georgia, Charles Harp, Andersonville, Georgia and Shelia Harp Allen (Reginald) of Montezuma, Georgia; six grandchildren including one devoted, DeCarris Hillmon, Andersonville, Georgia, Shavia Towns, Martellian Harp both of Montezuma, Georgia, Trinesia Harp, Tarrance Holley both of Oglethorpe, Georgia and DeKameron Allen, Montezuma, Georgia; her extended grandchildren include Sherrod Terry, Sharvin Sims both of Americus, Georgia and Desi McKenzie, Montezuma, Georgia; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ardean Harp Clark, Virginia Whitehead (Phil) all of Oglethorpe, Georgia, Eddie Harp, Montezuma, Georgia and Willie B. Larry Daniels was born on September 2, 1959 in Oglethorpe, Georgia to the parentage of the late Fannie Mae Howe Daniels and the late J.C. Daniels.

Larry has been a lifelong native of the Garden Valley Community in Macon County, Georgia. He attended the public schools of Macon County.

He was preceded in death by his parents Fannie Mae Howe Daniels and J.C. Daniels and J. D. Colbert who also help reared him; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Virlyn and Barbara Jean Harvey; granddaughter Jamia K. Bivins; brothers O.C. Daniels and Willie J. Daniels.

He leaves behind to cherish his loving and unforgettable memories: Janice H. Daniels (wife), children, Kimberly Daniels, Jennifer Hicks, Benjamin Hicks Jr., Jessica (Tovornea) Cochran, Jacinta Hicks, Tina (Lorenzo) Bivins, Joshua (Gwenetta) Hicks, and Shekema (Antrell) Jones; grandchildren, Prenshay Jones, Jannisia Ross, Jakalen “Joe Rabbit” Williams, Ja’Lynn “Angel” Williams, Jerica Harris, Nancy Cochran, Mantrell Jones, Towanna “Butterball” Cochran, Ryan Fulks, Trinity Cochran, Josslyn Hicks and Bailey Bivins; siblings, Jimmy (Thelma) Daniels, Emma Rumph, Linda (Leon) Smith and Denise Colbert; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
