Florine Fulks Poole, age 95, 1710 Golf Drive, Stone Mountain, Georgia passed June 28, 2016.   The funeral service was conducted 11:00 A.M., Saturday, July 2, 2016 at the Meadows Mortuary Chapel, 419 Flat Shoals Avenue SE, Atlanta, Georgia.
 
Florine Fulks Poole was born June 19, 1921 in Ideal, Macon County, Georgia to the late Levi Fulks and the late Lenora Turner. 
 
The family of the late Florine Fulks Poole wishes to thank their many friends and loved ones for all acts of kindness and deeds expressed.  May God bless each of you.

The funeral service will be held at 3:00 P.M., Tuesday, June 28, 2016  at the  Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, 607 Kaigler Street, Oglethorpe, Georgia.

Juan Ramon Gonzales, Sr. was born in San Bento, Texas to the Late Cecilio Gonzales and Antonia Morales.

He is survived by six children, Shelia Garza, Lori Saldana, Juan R. Gonzales Jr., Leandra Gonzales, Melissa Escobar and Lidia Gonzales; nine grandchildren; and siblings Silvia Gonzales and Cecilio Gonzales.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Friday, July 1, 2016 at Zion Grove Baptist Church, Whitehouse Road, Montezuma, Georgia. The Reverend Coley Clark, Jr., pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in the Champ Waters Cemetery, Twin Church Road, Montezuma, Georgia.

Mrs. Sarah Kate Ellis Joiner was born July 31, 1933 to the parentage of the late Homer and Mary Lee Quinn Ellis.
 
Mrs. Joiner was a member of the Zion Grove Baptist Church. She attended Flint River Farms School. She was employed over 40 years for Southern Frozen Foods. She sung in the Zion Grove Baptist Church Choir. A son, George Ellis, Sr., and a brother, Walter Lee Ellis preceded her in death. She was joined in holy matrimony to the late Johnny B. Joiner, Sr. 
 
She leaves to cherish her memories to her family and friends, which includes daughter, Elaine Joiner, and son, Johnny B. Joiner Jr., both of Montezuma, Georgia; daughter-in-law, Brenda Ellis; sister, Bertha Mae Fobbs, who was very dear and loving to her heart; three grandchildren, Jameica (Ryan) Ellis, Skyy (Leetrina) Ellis, George Ellis, Jr., all of Montezuma, Georgia; seven great grandchildren, Jalen Ellis, Tyreeanna Ellis, Takiya Ellis, George Ellis III, Ezekiel Ellis, Callie Ellis, and Gabriel Ellis; five great great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Annie Bland, Barbara Joiner Pearl Ellis, all of Orlando, Florida; brothers-in-law, Izear Joiner (Brenda), Eddie B Joiner, both of Minnesota, Leonard Joiner (Mary), Lafetta Joiner, both of Orlando, Florida, and Robert Joiner, a devoted and faithful brother-in-law; host of nieces, nephews and cousins; special family members and friend, Billy Quinn and Jackie Turner, a devoted loving, caring nurse.

Charlie Ross, age 70, 800 Smith Road, Oglethorpe, Georgia passed Friday, June 24, 2016 at the Phoebe Sumter Medical Center, Americus, Georgia.
 
The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, July 2, 2016 at Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, 607 Kaigler Street, Oglethorpe, Georgia.  Interment will follow in the Oglethorpe City Cemetery, Memorial Drive, Oglethorpe, Georgia.
 
Charlie was born to the late Ida Lee Hooks Ross and the late Frank Ross, Sr. in Oglethorpe, Macon County, Georgia on August 22, 1945.  He was educated in the public school system of Macon County and received his Christian training at Jehovah Baptist Church of Oglethorpe, Georgia.  He was preceded in death by his parents and six siblings, Frank B. Ross, Bessie Brown, Mattie Bell Norton, Ruth Shealy, Mittie Ross and Mary Taylor Ross Turner.  He was also preceded by his niece who was reared as a sister, Juanita Shealy Stanley. 

Being born in a family of eight children, he is survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Henry (Cora) Ross, Miami, Florida.   Charlie's extended family included his loving companion, Idella Smith and family of Oglethorpe, Georgia;  several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, July 2, 2016 at First United Holiness Church, 324 Engram Street, Montezuma, Georgia.  Interment will follow in Champ Waters Cemetery, Twin Church Road, Montezuma, Georgia.  The Elder Michael Coley, pastor, will officiate. 
 
Ronnie LaNorris McDonald, Jr. was born on April 14, 1995 in Americus, Sumter County, Georgia to the late Ronnie LaNorris McDonald, Sr. and Mary Ann Simmons. He was reared by his devoted grandmother, Lunell McDonald, and grandfather, the late Robert Lee McDonald, Sr. He graduated from CGTC Literacy Council of Macon County, GA and attended South Georgia Technical College in Americus, Georgia.
 
Ronnie LaNorris McDonald, Jr. was preceded in death by his father, Ronnie LaNorris McDonald, Sr., and his grandfather, Robert Lee McDonald, Sr.
 
“JR,” as he was affectionately called by loved ones and friends, was employed with Blue Bird Body Company in Fort Valley, Georgia. JR will be remembered for his bright smile and humble spirit.  JR was a dedicated grandson, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend.  
 
On Thursday, June 23, 2016, the Lord saw fit to call him home. He will be remembered and cherished by all who knew and loved him. Georgia Mae Farris age 96, passed on June 23, 2016 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus, Georgia.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, June 30, 2016, at Eastview Seventh-day Adventist Church, 701 Ashby Street, Americus, Georgia. Interment will follow at Eastview Cemetery, Ashby Street, Americus, Georgia.   

Georgia Mae Farris was born in (Webster County) Preston, GA on September 12, 1919 to the late George Borge and Ola Mae O’neal. On June 23, 2016 the race she ran and the labor of her hands were laid to rest.

She was joined in holy matrimony to the late Roy Farris March 16, 1946 who preceded her in death. Mrs. Farris was the oldest of five other siblings, who also preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Mrs. Vernette Smith and Mrs. Ora Hurley, both of Americus, GA; ten grandchildren—Neat Smith Jr., Yvonne Smith, David Smith, Benjamin (Penny) Smith, Victor Smith, Timothy (Emma) Smith, Brenda (Clyde) Bradley, Sondra (Jeffery) Tillman, Wanda Smith, and Alisa Brown; eleven great grandchildren—Norma Smith, Natavia (Broderick) Hawkins, Wilbert Gilford Jr., Vontravis Monts, Camille (Thomas) Guy, Timothy Smith II, Elizabeth Smith, Kayla Bradley, Nacole Smith, Kelby Smith, and Alana Tillman; six great great grandchildren—Trinity Hawkins, Madison Hawkins, Caleb Guy, Cameron Guy, and Chloe Guy, and Gabriel Giannini. A host of other relatives and friends who cherish her memory also survive.

Henry Morris Fulks, age 57, passed on Friday, June 24, 2016 at Navicent Health Center, Macon, Georgia.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at First United Holiness Church, 324 Engram Street, Montezuma, Georgia, where Elder Michael Coley is pastor. Bishop Craig T. Campbell will officiate. Interment will follow at Andersonville National Cemetery, 496 Cemetery Road, Andersonville, Georgia.

Henry was born to the late Fred and Tommie Mae Harmon Fulks in Ideal, Georgia on March 26, 1959. He was educated in the public school system of Macon County and was a 1977 graduate of the Historic D.F. Douglas High School in Montezuma, Georgia. Following high school, he enlisted in the United States Army where he served proudly and was Honorable discharged. Henry was a entrepreneur and the proud owner of Fulks Flooring, Inc.

Henry Morris has now joined his loved ones who have gone on before which include His loving parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred and Tommie Mae Harmon Fulks; a loving daughter, Kenisha Racquel Fulks Carr; and two brothers and one sister-in-law, Frederick (Essie) Fulks and Gary Fulks.  “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that who so ever believeth in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
  
Survivors include a granddaughter, Racquel Kenesha Carr, Atlanta, Georgia; ten siblings and their spouses, Charles (Fran) Harmon, East Point, Georgia, Samuel (Doris) Fulks, Ashburn, Georgia, Connie Fulks (Rev. Phillip Wayne)  Fowler, Jeanette Fulks (Johnnie) Wiggins, all of Oglethorpe, Georgia, Carolyn Fulks, Hapeville, Georgia, Jacqueline Fulks, Ellaville, Georgia, Carey (Sharon) Fulks, Atlanta, Georgia, Clifton (Diane) Fulks, Americus, Georgia, Yvette Fulks Hayes, Macon. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, June 25, 2016 at the Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. 607 Kaigler Street, Oglethorpe, Georgia.

Jesse was born to the late Ed Collier and Earline Rackley Collier on May 24, 1948 in Montezuma, Macon County, Georgia. He attended the Public school of Macon County. He was employed with McKenzie Nursery for many years.

He is survived by six siblings, Pearl Collier Freeman, Montezuma, Georgia, Beulah Collier Robertson (Jimmie Lee), Marshallville, Georgia, Willie H. Collier (Annie Neil), Montezuma, Georgia, Troy Collier, West Palm Beach, Florida, Joanne Hubbard, Montezuma, Georgia, and Barbara Clark (John Lee), Montezuma, Georgia: aunt, Carrie Rackley, Montezuma, Georgia; a host of nieces and nephews other relatives and friends.

Mr. Joe Duncan, 529 Idella Williams Road, Ideal, Georgia, passed Saturday, June 11, 2016 at the Houston Medical Center, Warner Robins, Georgia.   

The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at Shady Grove Baptist Church, White Water Road, Ideal, Georgia, where Reverend David Thomas is pastor. Reverend Rodney Duncan will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Joe Duncan was born November 25, 1933 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Harry (Ethel Howard) Duncan. He was preceded in death by two children, Cynthia Duncan and Keith Duncan, and four siblings, Lawrence C. Duncan (Thelma), Albert Duncan, Laura Lane Nelson(TJ), Robert Duncan (Ella Mae). He was employed with several companies: Donald Mathis Service Station, bus driver for Macon County Board of Education, Georgia Department of Transportation, and after many years of dedicated services, he retired from the Macon County Public Works. He was a member and Deacon of the Hopewell Independent Church of Rupert, Georgia. He was a member of the Morning Star Masonic Lodge #13.

He is the beloved husband of Betty Willliams Duncan and the father of Barbara Duncan Brown, Dr. Connie Duncan, Betty Joe Duncan, Ronald Duncan (Emma) and Sonya Michelle Duncan.  He is also survived by his daughter-in-law, Connie Leary Duncan; siblings, Bessie Lue Nelson (J.C.), Oris Duncan Johnson (Ellis), and Raymond Duncan; seventeen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and one great great grandson; one aunt, Vannie Howard, Ideal, Georgia; sisters-in-law, Eva Duncan, Stone Mountain, Georgia, Anna Little, Beulah Griffin, Ola Turner, all of Ideal, Georgia, and Dessie Taylor, Atlanta, Georgia; A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including three devoted godsons, Andre Bailey, Bobby Fulks, Jr., and Michael J. Respert; a devoted cousin, Minnie Jean Respert, Marshallville, Georgia; one devoted friend and co-worker, Norman Perkins, Marshallville, Georgia.

Pastor Annie Statum, pastor of Love and Peace Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery, GA Hwy 41 South, Buena Vista, Georgia.
 
Josie L. Wimbush Sampson was born July 27, 1949 in Buean Vista, Marion County, Georgia, to the late Elam Wimbush and Willie Ruth Pough Wimbush. She was educated in the public school system of Marion County. She was a faithful and dedicated member of Love and Peace Church. She was a chef at Signs of the Dove Restaurant and a short order cook at the Cash and Go service station. She was the widow of the late Edward Sampson, Sr. She is preceded in death by eight siblings, Dela Mae Williams, Lizzie Ruth Perry, Emma Lois Colbert, Ruby Jean Walker, Georgia Walker, Johnny L. Wimbush, James Wimbush, and Sam Wimbush.
 
Survivors are four children, Cleveland Wimbush (Clarietha), Edward Sampson, Jr., Jimbethy Sampson, and Mary Ann Sampson, all of Buena Vista, Georgia; five grandchildren, Quintavious Sampson, Martez Sampson, Shacorrial Sampson, Keshawn Sampson, and Derrick Wimbush; six great grandchildren, Aubrey Walton, Malania Walton, Shania Holt, Lauryn, Jalem Sampson, A’zarriah Wafford; six siblings, Rosie Reynolds, Ellaville, Georgia, Annie Ruth Campbell, Linda Hightower, both of Buena Vista, Georgia, Mary Helen-Clark (Billy), Ellaville, Georgia, Willie Frank Wimbush, Elem Wimbush, Jr. (Anita), all of Buena Vista, Georgia; a devoted niece Nettie Minter, who you could always find them somewhere together; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
