Dolly Mae Branch Duncan, age 67, passed on March 22, 2021 at Houston Medical Center, Warner Robins, Georgia.

Memorial services will be held at 12:00 PM, Saturday, March 27, 2021 at the Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, 607 Kaigler Street, Oglethorpe, Georgia.

Dolly was born January 10, 1954 in Americus, Georgia to the late Molly Branch. She was educated in the public school system of Americus, Georgia. She also attended Atlanta Tech and graduated with a degree in Early Child Development. Dolly was employed at Allen’s Food Plant in Montezuma for several years. She was blessed to be the mother of two children. 

Dolly leaves to cherish her memories to her children, Ramon (Dominique) Duncan of Fort Valley, Georgiam and Camille Duncan of Ideal, Georgia; grandchildren, Briaysia Germany, Zykerria Duncan, Cali Duncan, C Cannon Duncan; aunts, Geneva (Andrew) Pless, Americus, Georgia, Rosa Arnold; a host of beloved family and friends including devoted friends Ruby McDonald, Cussetta Journey, Raydell, and Raymond Duncan.

Mrs. Margaree Haynes Maynard, age 79, passed on Sunday, March 14, 2021.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, 1521 Mt. Zion, Road, Ellaville, Georgia.

Please be mindful that we will adhere to all government recommendations and mandates at all services at this time. We are limiting graveside seating to no more than 10 with masks being strongly encouraged. Other masked attendees are welcomed but will be expected to practice social distancing.

Margaree was born in Ellaville, Georgia on July 15, 1941 to the late Mr. Bob Haynes and Mrs. Marie Griffin Haynes.  She was preceded in death by four siblings, Marvin Haynes, General Lee Haynes, Edna Haynes and Curtis Haynes.
 
She was educated in the Ellaville Colored High School. Margaree was blessed with one daughter Gloria Marie Haynes Hollis. She joined the band of Christians believers at Mt. Zion Baptist Church and later moved her membership to the Living Word Christian Ministries where she was a faithfully member. She served as a Gate Keeper, sang in the choir, and worked faithfully with the churches soup ministry.  She started a prayer service by phone every Thursday night.
 
Margaree was home maker and affectionately known by all as Aunt Marg.  She was considered to be the pillar of the community in which she lived.  She was admired by her friends and neighbors as a tenderhearted loving and giving woman.  She was a member of the Senior Bingo Club.  She possessed leadership qualities and always spoke up for the betterment of her community. 
 
She leaves to cherish her memories:  a loving daughter, Gloria Marie Hollis, Dorchester, Massachusetts; a loving granddaughter, Ashley Campbell, Americus, Georgia; a loving nephew, Dexter Leon Haynes, Americus, Georgia; sisters, Alice Haynes Tymes, Boston, Massachusetts, Rosa Haynes Cauley, Atlanta, Georgia, Georgia Ann Haynes Middlebrooks, Ellaville, Georgia, Darnell Haynes Booker (Edward), Dorchester, Massachusetts, Thelma Haynes (Pansy) Fortson, Georgia, Pat Terry Hollis (Randy), Americus, Georgia; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Haynes, Ellaville, Georgia and Judith Haynes, Ellenwood, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives, and good friends.

Mrs. Christean Harris was born April 30, 1922 in Macon County to the late Jody Harris and Julia Davis Harris. She was educated in the public school system of Macon County.

Christean was preceded in death by ten siblings; Zolla Mae “Tobb” Harris, Bennie Mae Cephus, Viola Harris, Seveter Harris, John Wesley Harris, Azie Lee Wilson, Leroy Harris, Sr., Willie Harris, Clarence Harris and W.M. “William” Harris.

Mrs. Christean Harris was the widow of the late Delmas Harris, Sr. Four children, Nathaniel Harris, Odessa Harris Redding, Theodore Harris, and Thelma Harris Hall, preceded her in death.  She was also preceded in death by one step son, Delmus Harris, Jr.

Christean had a strong love for God; she was full of wisdom and was a humble lady. She had time and a kind word for everyone.  Her early spiritual teachings started under of the leadership of Elder Daisy Green and then Rev. William P. Blue of Concord Holiness Church, Ellaville, Georgia. Christean later moved her membership  under the leadership of Bishop James E. Lundy at Tabernacle of Faith, Ellaville, Georgia.

She leaves a legacy of love and admiration to her beloved grandchildren which include: Jeffery Harris, Ideal, Georgia, DeWayne Harris (Jalandra), Newnan, Georgia, Paula Smith (Robert) Ideal, Georgia Pamela Harris, Ideal, Georgia, The’Erica Harris, Atlanta, Georgia, Travis Holloway, Atlanta, Georgia, and Brandon Acey, Thomaston, Georgia; a host of great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Barbara Harris, Ellaville, Georgia;  son-in-law  Leonard Hall, Atlanta, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Debra Conley Kearse was born December 10, 1956 to the late Alma Conley and was reared by Alma and Al Hardy in Donalsonville, Georgia. She was preceded in death by two children, Jason Kearse and Adrienne Kearse, and one grandchild Damya Walters.  She was educated in the public school system of Seminole County and was a 1974 graduate of Seminole County High School. She furthered her education and a received a Bachelor Degree in Business.  Debra was employed and retired from Habitant for Humanity in Americus. Debra was a faithful member of United Holiness Headquarter Church in Americus where she served as Secretary for over 30 years and up until her health began to decline. Debra was a very caring, loving, and kind person. She was joined in holy matrimony to Kenny Kearse.

She leaves to cherish her love and memories to  her devoted husband of 40 years and 5 months, Kenny Kearse; a loving daughter and son-in-law, Sarah Kearse Walters (Damian), Americus, Georgia; two grandchildren Alexia Robinson and Victoria Robinson; a sister Joann Martin, Daytona, Florida; brother, Alex Hardy, Donalsonville, Georgia; a sister-in-law, Pricilla Patterson, Americus, Georgia; a devoted cousin David Wilson, a loving, caring, and devoted friend Dorothy Wilcher; and a host of nieces, nephews, beloved family and friends.

Janet  Hermione Barber Hicks was born July 1, 1954, to the late Lillie Pearl Barber. Janet was the youngest of three children.  One brother preceded her in death, Clifford E. Barber.  Janet acquired her education in the public school system of Sumter County in Americus, Georgia. Janet graduated with honors from Americus High School in 1972.  She continued to pursue her education at Georgia Southwestern College in Americus, Georgia.  Janet graduated with her Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and graduated with a Master’s Degree in Mathematics.  Janet accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior and joined Saint Mary Catholic Church in Americus, Georgia, and later attended South Columbus United Methodist Church in Columbus, Georgia.  Janet began her passion as a math teacher at Staley Junior High School.  She later taught math at Americus High School and taught math in Talbotton, Georgia.  Janet decided to make Columbus, Georgia, her home, and it was there she taught for many years and retired from the Muscogee School System teaching at Shaw, Northside, and Kendrick High Schools. She was united in holy matrimony to the late Eddie Kenneth Hicks.

Janet's many accomplishments and awards include the Silver Key Society in 1974 and 1975, the Georgia Southwestern College Kaleidoscope, and Who’s Who Among Students.

On March 15, 2021, Janet Barber Hicks came to the sunset of her life in the lovely surroundings of her family in Columbus, Georgia.  Those who were there with her bided her goodbye, and the angels around her welcomed her to her heavenly home.

She leaves special memories to her beloved brother, Mr. Robert B. Barber (Vernetta) Atlanta, Georgia; a host of nieces and nephews including, Rachelle Daniels (David), Americus, Georgia, Delicia Barber, Atlanta, Georgia,  Ramon Boone (Yasuko), Atlanta, Georgia,  Felicia Barber (Aaron Williams)  of Atlanta, Georgia, and Warrick Barber of Bel-Glade, Florida,  Carolyn Boddy, Curtis Boddy, Columbus, Georgia; and eleven great-grand nieces and great grandnephews.

Her fond memories include her friends, co-workers: Annie Pashal, Vanessa Furlow, Beulah Ross, Leola Carter, Maude Russell, Joyce King, and Mary Carter.  Her extended family, The Hicks of Plains, Georgia, special neighbors and friend Frank Pride and the Highridge Community of Columbus, Georgia.

Elder Annie Ruth Mann Brown of Restoration Church, Americus was born September 1, 1959 to the parentage of the late Mrs. Bertha Patrick Mann and Mr. Willie Mann, Jr. of Sumter County, GA.

At an early age, she accepted Christ as her Savior and joined the Jerusalem Baptist Church, Mask Road - Americus where Rev. J. H. Reynolds was pastor.  Presently, she is a member of Restoration Church where she loves her Church Family and her pastor,  Rev. George Edge.

She attended Headstart and Northeast Elementary School, Americus and when her family moved to the Plains Highway, she attended Plains High School where she graduated in 1977. 

Her post secondary study was in nursing where she received her LPN degree from South GA Technical College in Americus. She worked in that field in Montezuma, Ideal, Americus and Atlanta, GA. She was joined in the holy matrimony to the late Arthur Brown Jr.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Mr. Charlie Mann, and a sister, Ms. Mary Ann Mann of Americus.

She is survived by a son, Mr. Arthur Brown lll of Americus; two sisters, Ms. Eva Mann of Americus and Ms. Mattie (Alfred Sr.) Wright of Albany. Six brothers, Mr. Arthur (Rebecca) Mann; Rev. Freddie Mann; Dr. Cleveland (Fannie) Mann; Rev William (Doris) Mann; Mr. Ray Mann of Americus and Mr. Willis (Ruby) Mann of Duluth, GA.  Two step brothers Leon Walker and Rufus Walker; special sister-in-law, Mrs. Bernice Mann of Americus, sisters and brothers-in-law of the Brown Family and she is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, Church Family, friends and classmates.

Rosalee Tymes was born in Charleston, South Carolina on May 14, 1943 to the late Evelyn White Brown and the late William Brown, Sr. She was preceded in death by siblings Robert Brown, Thomas Brown and William Brown Jr. Rosalee was a graduate of Haut Gap High School of Johns Island, South Carolina. On May 13, 1987, she was united in holy matrimony to the love of her life, the late Herman Tymes.

Rosalee accepted Christ as her Lord and personal savior at a young age. A dutiful servant, she attended St. John Ministries, Tampa, Florida for 25 years, where she served as a Deaconess. After relocating to Buena Vista, Georgia in 2011, she joined St. Mark Baptist Church, where she served as a greeter and always stood ready for other duties.  During the last years of her life, Rosalee dedicated hundreds of hours locating and sending “Daily Blessings” to her loved ones without failure, until she was no longer able.

On Tuesday, March 2, 2021, Rosalee departed this earthly life for her heavenly home. Rosalee leaves a legacy of spiritual devotion to the lord and love to her family which includes two children: her loving daughter, Vertrell Eliece Griffin (Darrin) and her devoted son, Dr. Damien Turrell Tymes (Christina). Rosalee adored her grandchildren: Cierra D, Knight (Dmitrian), Joshua M. Griffin, Isaiah M. Griffin, Nora R. Tymes and her great-grandson Dreson M. Knight. Her caring siblings: Richard Brown (Cecelia), Helen Wilson (Robert), Evelyn Russell (Rev Dr. J. Lauren), Dolores Brown, Pastor Kenneth Faulcon (Timetra), Shirley Faulcon; brothers and sisters in law: Eathern Times Jr. (Ardessa), Edward Tymes (Roslyn),Patricia Nixon (David), George Pless Jr., Frances Tymes, and Rosabelle Tymes. She also leaves behind her uncle, William Washington (Benzena) as well as a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and beloved friends.

Vivian Elaine Wilson was born August 28, 1963 in Americus, Georgia to the late Thelma McKenzie and the late Jim Wilson.  She was preceded in death by her siblings, Willie Paul Wilson, Bernard Wilson, and Charles Wilson. She was educated in the public school system of Sumter County and was a graduate of Sumter Comprehensive High School. Vivian was employed as a CNA at Magnolia Manor of Americus, Lillian Carter Nursing Center and at Wal-Mart in the bakery department. She was a member of  New Shady Grove Baptist Church.

She leaves to cherish her memories: two children Crystal Quwenty (Veronica) Killen, Texas, Shuntavious Wilson, Leslie, Georgia; fiancé Willie Berke, Leslie, Georgia; sister, Gwendolyn Jordan (Rev. Tommy), Americus, Georgia; aunts, Ossie Bishop, Leslie, Georgia, Deacon Ira Lee Jones (Mable), Americus, Georgia, Mary Lee Preston (Leroy), Stone Mountain, Georgia, Loretta Jones, Jacksonville, Florida, Calvin Jones (Rosemary), Pastor Willie Edward Walker and Jessie Timmons (Gladys), all of Leesburg, Georgia and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Christopher was born June 6, 1968 in Americus, Georgia to Diane Dorsey Bowens and the late William Bowens Jr.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Williams Bowens Sr., Voncille Bowens, and Betsy Dorsey, and mother-in-law Gloria Sims. He was a member of the class of “86” of Americus High. He was a lovable person who loved to joke and make people laugh. He was a member of The Household of Faith Ministries, under the leadership of Overseer Apostle Dr. Marcia Carter and Bishop Dr. Walter Carter, whereas he remained faithful until death. 

He leaves to cherish his memories a beloved wife Sharon Bowens of 28 years, Americus, Georgia, four children Akelia Bowens, Christopher Bowens Jr., Tameal Bowens, and Shominique Mitchell all of Americus, Georgia; three grandchildren Taylor Minnis, Zyon Sanders, Jasa Sales; siblings, Teresa Dorsey, Katrina Campbell (Anthony),  Monica Bowens all of Americus, Georgia; aunts and uncles, including devoted aunt Myrtice Bowens, Patricia Dorsey, MaeBell Bullard, Alvin Bowens (Carolyn) Daniel Dorsey, Peggy Ann Dorsey, Joanne Floyd (Ernest), Emmitt Dorsey (Margie); two fathers-in-law, Victor Hayes Sr., Atlanta, Georgia, Charlie Sims, Americus, Georgia; brother/sisters-in-law, Tricia Kleckley (Sean), Sakrina Fletcher (Michael), Angela Hall (Corralus), Eddie Jean Butts, Victor Hayes Jr. (Frances), Cory Hayes, a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, dedicated friends and beloved sisters and brothers of The Household of Faith Ministries Church family.
