The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Zion Grove Baptist Church, 90 Whitehouse Road, Montezuma, Georgia. Burial will take place at Champ Waters Cemetery, 191 Champ Waters Road, Montezuma, Georgia.
Graveside services, including burials, are likely to be held on ground that is uneven, which is out of the control of Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. We ask that you take this into consideration when choosing footwear, such as shoes with high, thin heels. Please be advised that Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. will not be held responsible for injuries at a grave site because of this.
Eddie Will Jones was born June 14, 1941, in Macon County, Georgia to the late Elizabeth Mclendon and the late O.C. Jones. He was preceded in death by siblings Charles Jones, Charlie Greene and one baby daughter Bethany Denise Jones. He was educated in the public school system of Macon County. He was employed as a construction worker and worked on skyscrapers over the years. He enjoyed driving fast cars and motorcycles.
He leaves to cherish his memories to four children Doris Harris (Nathaniel), Montezuma, Georgia, Carolyn Davis, Atlanta, Georgia, Sonya Doyle, Miami, Florida, and Eddie Walker, Atlanta, Georgia; grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; sisters Mary Powell, Montezuma, Georgia, Louise Baldwin, Montezuma, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends including devoted niece Jeneverlyn Tookes, and devoted friends James Riley and Howard James Green.
