T. J. Jones, age 75, 629 Sam Carter Road, Reynolds, Macon County, Georgia passed Monday, October 15, 2012 at the Montezuma Health Care & Rehab Center, Montezuma, Georgia.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, October 20, 2012 at the Corinth Baptist Church, Georgia Highway 127, Garden Valley Community, Ideal, Georgia. Rev. Governor Gibson, pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in the Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, White Water Road, Ideal, Georgia.
T. J. was born November 20, 1936 in Ideal, Macon County, Georgia to the late Rosa Tookes Jones and Bat Jones. He was preceded in death by five siblings: Willie C. Jones, Morris Jones, Fred Jones, Billie Jones and Kenneth Jones. He was married to the former Louvenia Bailey, and to this union, they were blessed with six children. Three children preceded him in death. After several years of dedicated services, T. J. retired from Simmons and Sons as a heavy equipment operator.
T. J. Leaves a legacy of love and golden memories to his beloved children, which include Arlene Walker (Harvey Robert, Sr.), Oglethorpe, Georgia, Sylvia Ann Jones, Tony Curtis Jones, Sr. and Randy Jones, Sr. all of Atlanta, Georgia; sister, Georgia Ann Jones, Reynolds, Georgia; three brothers, Ernest Jones (Venus), Atlanta, Georgia, Melvin Jones, Atlanta, Georgia and Jessie Jones, Reynolds, Georgia; grandchildren, Harvey Robert Walker, Jr., Ebony Walker, Derrick Jones, Symara Harris, Randy Jones, Jr., Dewaun Ferguson, Andrea Maddock, Shitha Maddock, Tony Jones, Jr. and Tyler Jones; two great grandchildren, Jaiquez Walker and Kenya Walker; a host of nieces and nephews including one devoted niece, Frances Jones; and a host of other relatives and friends.

I was informed of the loss of your brother TJ. We want you to know that we are thinking of you and will keep you and your family in our prayers. Although I did not have the opportunity to know him as well as my oldest sibling, I did have an opportunity to meet him about two years ago. Since we missed the funeral, let’s make arrangements to get together at some point in the near future …. (Daisy)
