The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, March 10, 2018 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, 111 Walnut Street, Montezuma, Georgia. Tommy Kleckley will officiate.
Wilma was born April 24, 1953 in Montezuma, Macon County, Georgia to the late John David Kaigler and the late Louise Harris Kaigler Francis. She was born in a family of six siblings and one brother preceded her in death, Willie B. Kaigler, better known as “Bo Cat.” She was a 1970 graduate of the old historic D. F. Douglass High School of Montezuma, Georgia. She was united in holy matrimony to Melvin Lewis Tookes and to this union they were blessed with four children. In the year of 1969 she was baptized into Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness where she has been a faithful servant for forty-nine years.
She leaves a legacy of love and many fond memories to her beloved family which include her loving and devoted husband of forty-six years, Melvin Lewis Tookes, Oglethorpe, Georgia; four loving children, Melvina Tookes (Jarvis Hall), Perry, Georgia, Vergil O’Neil Tookes (Kimberly) Jonesboro, Georgia, Jonathan Lewis Tookes (Ashley) Oglethorpe, Georgia and Elizabeth Marie Tookes Greene (O’Neil) Leslie, Georgia; ten grandchildren; four siblings, Willie James Kaigler “Boogie”, Atlanta, Georgia, Betty Kaigler Soloman (Coleman), Oglethorpe, Georgia, Johnnie Mae Hinton (Larry) and Delois Kaigler Dunn, Bonaire, Georgia; father-in-law, Albert Tookes (Judy), Montezuma, Georgia; other brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law include, Curtis James Tookes (Johnnie Mae, devoted sister-in-law) Oglethorpe, Georgia, Albert Tookes, Jr., Montezuma, Georgia, Jessie Edward Tookes, better known as “Ben” Lakeland, Florida, Joann Tookes Hodges (Mac) Montezuma, Georgia, Pearlie Tookes Robertson (John), St. Petersburg, Florida, and Ouida Tookes Jefferson (Harris), Oglethorpe, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
