The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., July 9, 2012 at New Jerusalem Baptist Church, 281 Mask Road, Americus, Georgia. Interment will follow in Staley Memorial Garden Cemetery, Americus, Georgia.
Deacon Willie Mann, Jr. was born April, 27, 1923 to the late Willie Mann, Sr. and Annie Mae Burrows Mann. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Patrick Mann, one son, Charlie Mann, and one granddaughter, Clarica Mann. He worked as a tenant farmer and construction worker throughout his life. At an early age he joined The New Jerusalem Baptist Church where he served in many capacities and as deacon until his health failed.
Survivors are ten children, Eva Mann, Mary A. Mann, Arthur Mann (Rebecca), all of Americus, Georgia, Mattie Wright (Alfred), Albany, Georgia, Rev. Freddie Mann (Hattie), Dr. Cleveland Mann (Fannie), Deacon William Mann (Doris), Willis Mann (Ruby), Elder Annie Brown and Ray Anthony Mann, all of Americus, Georgia; daughter-in-law, Bernice Mann, Americus, Georgia; 26 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 14 great great grandchildren; ten siblings, Fred B. Armour, Ft. Myers, Florida, William Mann, Clyde Mann, both of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Susie London, Florida, Josephine Allen, Atlanta, Georgia, Mary Snuffer, Florence Mann, Edith Dorsey, Helen Williams, all of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Mary Carter Americus, Georgia; three aunts, Dr. Louise Murray, Evangelist Eddie Mae Hood and Ellen Pringle, all of Miami, Florida; three sisters-in-law, Ethel Mathis, Rosa Patrick, both of Americus, Georgia and Ella Ruth McBeath, Miami, Florida; a host of beloved nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including three special friends, Katherine Jones, Minnie Volley and Deacon Walter Jackson, all of Americus, Georgia.
