Mr. Willie Lee Law, Jr., age 75, 206 McClendon Street, Oglethorpe, Georgia passed Thursday, July 21, 2011 at the Flint River Community Hospital, Montezuma, Georgia.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at Jehovah Baptist Church, 201 Chatham Street, Oglethorpe, Georgia. Burial will follow in the Andersonville National Cemetery, 496 Cemetery Road, Andersonville, Georgia with military honors.

Willie Lee was born April 2, 1936 in Macon County, Georgia to the late Willie Lee Law Sr. and Mamie White Law. He was educated in the public school system of Macon County. He was a Veteran of United States Army, after he was honorably discharged on April 7th 1961.

He joined the New Pond Baptist Church of Cross Road Community. He was a member of Oglethorpe Masonic Lodge #291. After many years of dedicated service, he retired from Southern Frozen Foods, Inc. as a forklift operator.

He was united in holy matrimony to the former Vivian Sykes; and to this union they were blessed with six children. A son, Alvin C. "Curtis" Law, preceded him in death.

Survivors include a devoted wife of 53 years, Vivian Law, Oglethorpe, Georgia; children, Angela Crittendon of Hampton, Georgia, Cheryl Law (Irad), Judy Smith (Jeff), both of Oglethorpe, Georgia, Billy Ray Law, Ellenwood, Georgia and Travis Law, of Baltimore, Maryland; eight grandchildren, Tara Hamilton, Shonda Pettway, Carla Crumpton, Keisha Law, LaTasha Terry, Kortnee Smith, Darius Smith, Jameko (Curt) Law, and Joshua Law; 12 great-grandchildren; siblings, Betty Jean Jackson (Hayward) Hartford, Connecticut and Annette Milner (Willie), Winsor, Connecticut; aunts, Ruth Cranston, Altomonte Springs, Florida, Vera Braswell, Austell, Georgia, Clara Mae White, Daytona Beach, Florida, and Rilla Mae Gibson, Atlanta, Georgia; a host of other relatives and friends.

COMMENTS
