The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at the 4th United Holiness Church, 192 North Thompson Street, Ellaville, Georgia. Burial will follow in the Rocky Hill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Concord Church Road, Ellaville, Georgia.
Mr. Willie James Dupree was born July 12, 1930 in Ellaville, Schley County, Georgia to the parentage of the late Claude Dupree and Ollie Cicero Dupree. He was preceded in death by siblings, Jessie Lou Dupree Hosley, Jossie Dupree Harpe, Ollie Mae Rogers and Charlie L. Dupree Sr., and two grandsons, Frederick Scott Range Sr. and Lawrence Range.
Mr. Willie James Dupree was the beloved companion to the late Mary Alice Range for more than fifty-five years. To this union they were blessed with seven children; three, Lisa Ann Dupree, Patricia Ann Dupree, and Robert Range, Sr., preceded him in death.
He acquired his education in the Schley County School System. His career was farming and after many years of dedicated services he retired from Johnny Lightner Farm. After retiring, he started his own business in landscaping. He joined the Church International under the leadership of Elder Jesse Carson and later joined the 4th United Holiness Church under the administration of Elder Steven Anderson.
He leaves a legacy of love and many fond memories to his four children, Charlene Dupree Williams (Deacon Ralph), Deacon Kenneth Dupree (Sylvia), Catherine Campbell (Harvey) all of Ellaville, Georgia and Melvin Range (Maxine) Oglethorpe, Georgia; fifteen grandchildren, two devoted, Matthew Williams and Jonathan Leggett; seventeen step-grandchildren; forty nine great grandchildren and step great grandchildren including a devoted great granddaughter Nyeisha Leggett; sister, Sarah Richardson, Ideal, Georgia; brothers/sisters-in-law, Junior Battle (Mary), Harold Battle, John L. Battle, Homer Lee Battle and Eva Mae Johnson all of Oglethorpe, Georgia and Ernestine Frazier, Ellaville, Georgia and a host of beloved nieces and nephews, including one devoted niece, Evelyn Slaughter, Buena Vista, Georgia; devoted caring CNA, Marisa Thomas, Ellaville, Georgia who worked with Innovation Senior Solution, Americus, Georgia and a host of other relatives and friends including caring friends, Ms. Elsie Lee Baker and Elder Steven and First Lady Anderson.
