On behalf of my family, the Wilbons and church family, Second Shiloh Baptist Church, both of Bronwood, GA, and the Tri County Workshop Choir, I would like to extend condolences to Jenean and the Blackshear family. Even though we were dear friends, I always referred to him as Mr. Blackshear! Lord, we sang together so many times throughout the surrounding communities! He attended our family reunion services on Sundays and led our devotional service for years! He sang and he MC’d so many choir anniversaries! He was Business Manager for Tri County all 37 years and 3 months of our existence! He will certainly be missed! RIP dear friend! We know you are now singing with the angels, somewhere around God’s throne! Emma and the Tri County Workshop Choir

Uncle James as you were affectionately called by all your nieces & nephews. I have shared so many fond memories of you as a little girl until adulthood. As a child my first memory is you playing the piano & singing at the home house on Jeffries. When I purchased my home you blessed my home, prayed over my home & family. You also blessed us with your precious voice. On Saturday’s your family could always count on you for calls to say “I love you & be good ok”. Those are just a few memories I’ll definitely treasure. The baby boy of the family. Give my dad a huge hug!! You’ll truly be missed. Sleep in love dearest Uncle James. I love you. As you so often called/ described me “Shellie Jr Pat”.

There is so much to said about this man of God! The very first time I met him was at Jerusalem Baptist Church in Ellaville, Ga. He was married to my long time friend Rosetta Thornton Blackshear. At that time Rev. Floyd Storey was our Pastor. He always had a smile on his face and could light up any place he entered. He could sing and pray your soul with so much joy. He will truly be missed rest on James, God needed you more. Sincerely condolence's to the family. May the peace and comfort of the Holy Spirit keep you is our prayer.

Dea. Blackshear was a very important piece of the puzzle at Crawford Baptist Church. Growing up, I learned so much from him both spiritually and business wise. He was serious about his service at Crawford Grove but was always smiling and happy to teach the next generation. Dea. Blackshear cannot be replaced but his lessons and spirit will live on! I pray that the Lord will give strength to his children, grandchildren, and other family and friends. Mr. James will definitely be missed not only from this earth but by the Crawford Grove Church Family! Sleep Well Thy Good and Faithful Servant!

Uncle James I have so many fond memories of you. The one thing that I’m going to miss the most is your phone call EVERY YEAR to sing me Happy Birthday and calling you on your Birthday to sing Happy Birthday to you also. You we’re definitely the song bird of the family. I will miss you dearly & love you.

Dea. Blackheads was truly a friend of mine. Whenever I needed advice or a sound ear for someone to listen to my thoughts, he was there. A friend to the end. If I know Dea. Blackshear, he's getting the HEAVENLY choir in order. ☺ A Servant worthy of his reward!
