The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Monday, June 15, 2015 at St. Paul A.M.E. Church, 110 Johnson Street, Oglethorpe, Georgia, where Reverend Norris Harris is pastor. Rev. Jarvis Hart, pastor of New Wine Lighthouse Church, Perry, Georgia will officiate. Interment will follow in the Oglethorpe City Cemetery, Memorial Drive, Oglethorpe, Georgia.
Mr. Wallace Lee Williams, Jr. was born on January 5, 1961 to the late Mr. Wallace Lee Williams, Sr. and Mrs. Clara Maude McKenzie Williams. He attended the public school system of Houston County and was a 1979 graduate of Perry High School. He received his Associates Degree from Atlanta Technical College in Computer Networking & Repair in May 2013. He was most recently enrolled at Atlanta Technical College pursuing an Associates Degree in Accounting. He received his Christian training in the local churches. In July 2014, he joined the New Hope World Outreach Church, under the leadership of Apostle Elizabeth Gibson, College Park, Georgia.
Wallace was a dedicated, hard worker who enjoyed working with his hands. He was the co-owner of J&W Unlimited Servicing of Duluth, Georgia. He was a Masonry Contractor and owner of Precision Affordable Flooring of Stockbridge, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, Mr. Daniel C. and Mrs. Ceola T. Williams, Mr. Manuel and Mrs. Maude Dean Miller McKenzie.
Wallace’s courage, giving spirit, humbleness, inspiration, strength, and love will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. His survivors are his daughter whom he reared as his own, Carmel Tye (Charles, Sr.); three grandchildren, Charles Tye, Jr., Ellis Tye, and Tristan Alexander-Lee Tye, all of Katy, Texas; four loving and devoted siblings, David L. Williams (Teresa), Henderson, Georgia, Clara D. Williams, Oglethorpe, Georgia, Douglas Williams, Snellville, Georgia, and Marcus Turner (Stefanie), Oglethorpe, Georgia; aunts and uncles, Edward Pryor Atlanta, Georgia, Elton Pryor, Marietta, Georgia, Lula Pryor Stokes (Thomas), Oglethorpe, Georgia, Gloria Pryor Green, Oglethorpe, Georgia, Linda Pryor Woodard, Warner Robins, Georgia, Willie Ruth McKenzie, Atlanta, Georgia, Manuel Little (Beverly), Macon, Georgia, Lizzie McKenzie King, Macon, Georgia, Lillian Williams Rochester, New York; Rev. Lawrence Williams (Luna), Perry, Georgia, Rev. Adam L. Williams (Irene), Decatur, Georgia, Carrie W. Childs (Rev. Edward), Atlanta, Georgia, and Sara P.
