Graveside services for Mrs. Viderial Golphin Clark will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, February 27, 2021 at the Oglethorpe City Cemetery, Memorial Drive, Oglethorpe, Georgia.

Please be mindful that we will adhere to all government recommendations and mandates at all services at this time. We are limiting graveside seating to no more than 10 with masks being strongly encouraged. Other masked attendees are welcomed but will be expected to practice social distancing.

Graveside services are likely to be held on ground that is uneven, which is out of the control of Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. Please be advised that Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. will not be held responsible for injuries at a grave site because of this.

On February 23, 2021 the oldest daughter and the first child of the late Willie Golphin and the late Christine Golphin departed this earthly realm after a well spent life and dedication to her family and community. “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whoever believe in him, shall not perish but have everlasting life.” This quote really described Viderial, because she was a dedicated, wife, mother, secretary of Macon County Primary, sister, daughter and friend.

At an early age Viderial joined the Mount Zion African Methodist Episcopal Church of the New York Community where she served as secretary. Later the family moved their membership to St. Paul A.M.E. Church where she continued to serve as a secretary and hospitality Committee, and advisory Board.

Viderial was a 1965 graduate of D. F. Douglass High School. She continued her education where she pursued a degree in Office Information Systems from Macon State Technical College. After completing Macon State Technical College, she was immediately employed with Macon County Board of Education where she was employed for thirty-five years. As a worker in her community, Viderial became a debitor for Oglethorpe Benevolent Society under the guidance of the late Viola E. Bailey. For some forty years Viderial was a member and secretary of the Bacchues Chapter No. 124 Order of Eastern Star of Oglethorpe, Georgia.

Viderial was united in holy matrimony in 1966 to the late John Clark and to this union they were blessed with one son, Rico Antonio Clark. Others survivors include her sister, Gloria Golphin Nelson, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Annie Pearl Golphin, Pharis Clark, Daisy Sniffen, Elois Clark, Eddie Clark and Raymond Rumph; aunt, Willie Bell Gouch; a host of other relatives and friends.
