
The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 27, 2016 at St. Paul A.M.E. Church, 110 Johnson Street, Oglethorpe, Georgia, where the Reverend Norris Harris is pastor. The Reverend Hosie Waters, pastor of Magnolia Baptist Church, Montezuma, Georgia, will officiate. The interment will follow in the Oglethorpe City Cemetery, Memorial Drive, Oglethorpe, Georgia.
Torryce was born on April 17, 1958 to the late Sipp English and Mae Ola Russell English in Oglethorpe, Georgia. He was educated in the public school system of Macon County and was a 1976 graduate of Macon County High School in Montezuma, Georgia. Torryce confessed Christ as his personal Savior and joined the band of Christian believers at St. Philip A.M.E. Church in Atlanta, Georgia. Over the years, he was employed with Gates Rubber Company in Lithonia,Georgia.
On July 12, 1980, Torryce was joined in holy matrimony to the former Valerie Ladd, and, to this union, one son was born.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife Valerie Ladd English, Decatur, Georgia; a son, Justin English (Savannah), Tuscaloosa, Alabama; one granddaughter, JaSani English, Tuscaloosa, Alabama; two siblings, Cedric B. English, Sr. (Earnestine), Rosa English Marshall (Eddie), both of Oglethorpe, Georgia; aunts and uncle, Daniel Russell (Ellen Rose) of Decatur, Georgia, Ruthie Bell Dooley of Atlanta, Georgia, Annie Mae Jairrels of Decatur, Georgia, and Emma Parrish of Bonaire, Georgia; father and mother-in-law, Deacon Robert and Mrs. Mildred Ladd, Montezuma, Georgia; brothers-in-law, Rogeric Ladd (Sharon), Newnan, Georgia, Robert Ladd (Sharonda), Montezuma, Georgia; aunt-in-law, Juanita Engram, Montezuma, Georgia; a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
