
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at William Grove Baptist Church, 71 Gill Street Hwy 19, Ellaville, Ga. Burial will be held at Staley Memorial Gardens, corner of Mayo and Southerfield Road, Americus, Ga.
Please be mindful that we will adhere to all government recommendations and mandates at all services at this time. We are limiting graveside seating to no more than 10 with masks being strongly encouraged. Other masked attendees are welcomed but will be expected to practice social distancing.
Graveside services are likely to be held on ground that is uneven, which is out of the control of Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. We ask that you take this into consideration when choosing footwear, such as shoes with high, thin heels. Please be advised that Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. will not be held responsible for injuries at a grave site because of this.
Tommie Louise Pride McCuller was born July 15, 1953 in Andersonville, Sumter County, Georgia to the late Calvin Pride, Jr. and the late Willie Mae Davis Pride. Born in a family of seven siblings, two brothers preceded her in death, Charlie Pride and Kirkland Pride. Also one sister-in-law preceded her in death, Alice Pride and brother in Law Rudolph Coley. She was a 1971 graduate of Union High School, Leslie, Georgia.
Tommie was united in Holy matrimony to the late Joseph McCuller and they were blessed to share their love. After 26 years at Weyerhaeuser Oglethorpe plant she retired as a lab technician. She acquired her Christian training at the Ebenezer Baptist Church of Andersonville under the leadership of the late Reverend Allen. Later she moved her membership to William Grove Baptist Church of Ellaville, Georgia under the leadership of Reverend Michael Edge. She served on every facet of the church whereas she served faithfully on the Kitchen Ministry, the Senior Choir, Secretary of the Women Ministry and Pastor’s Aid Ministry. She was member of the Order of Eastern Star Habakkuk No. 70 of Americus, Georgia
She leaves a legacy of love and many fond memories which include two sons and a daughter-in-law; Lakista Devard McCuller (Valerie) and Keffery McCuller all of Americus, Georgia; seven grandchildren Lakista McCuller II, Jakobe McCuller, Myla McCuller, Kelsey Cruz, Jaylan Bowens, Kearsten McCuller and Saige Maddox; two great grandchildren, Lakista McCuller III and Nadia McCuller; four siblings, Velma Pride Coley, Andersonville , Georgia, Frank Pride, Columbus, Georgia, Michael Pride, Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania and Ernest Pride (Sonja), Albany, Georgia; Other relatives and friends include a devoted companion, Ronald Coley, a devoted cousin, Veronica Davis Hunter, Orange, New Jersey; sister-in-law Kerry Pride, and devoted friends Venie Crawford and Beverly McDonald, Annie Ruth Battle, Carolyn Knighton.
