Graveside services will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, November 28, 2020 at Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, 2787 James Road, Montezuma, Georgia.
Please be mindful that we will adhere to all government recommendations and mandates at all services at this time. We are limiting graveside seating to no more than 10 with masks being strongly encouraged. Other masked attendees are welcomed but will be expected to practice social distancing.
Graveside services are likely to be held on ground that is uneven, which is out of the control of Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. We ask that you take this into consideration when choosing footwear, such as shoes with high, thin heels. Please be advised that Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. will not be held responsible for injuries at a grave site because of this.
Timothy Allen Sr. was born September 7, 1941 to the late Caleb Allen Sr. and the late Odell Brown Allen in Macon County, Georgia. He was preceded in death by one son, Timothy Allen Jr., and one brother, Caleb Allen Jr. He was educated in the public school system of Macon County. At an early age he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. Timothy was joined in holy matrimony to the late Ira Bee Kendrick Allen. He will be dearly missed and remembered for caring for his cats.
He leaves to cherish his memories his children, Shirley Jackson, Ernest Allen, Belinda Wright, Tammy Hunt, Demetria Allen, Gloria Stroud, Barbara Mingo, Melvin Fields, Jackie Kendrick, and Latoya Tookes; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; siblings, Edwin Allen (Sissy), Elton Wayne Allen, Cleone Allen, Irene Womack (John Lee), Junita Gilbert (Anderson), Shirley Cannon; sisters-in-law, Willie Pearl Allen and Mary Louise Johnson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
