Services will be held 12:00 P.M., Friday, December 11, 2020 at Andersonville National Cemetery Rostrum, 496 Cemetery Road, Andersonville, Georgia.
Please be mindful that we will adhere to all government recommendations and mandates at all services at this time. We are limiting graveside seating to no more than 10 with masks being strongly encouraged. Other masked attendees are welcomed but will be expected to practice social distancing.
Thomescina Vanae Kendrick Sims was born in Macon County, Georgia to Pearlie Kendrick and the late Rev. Charlie Lee Kendrick. She was preceded in death her brother Mickey. She was educated in public school system of Cobb County and was a graduate of PebbleBrook High School. Thomescina served her country proudly in the United States Army. While in the service and after she furthered her education earning a Bachelor Degree. She was a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. She was also a member of Greater Elizabeth Missionary Baptist, Atlanta, Georgia. On July 31, 1999, two hearts became one when Thomescina married the love of her life Rudolph Sims VI. She was employed as a Hotel Manager for the Extended Stay Chains.
She leaves to cherish her memories a beloved husband Rudolph Sims VI; two children Joshua Sims and Jeremiah Sims; a caring mother, Pearlie Kendrick; siblings Chandra, Renae, Tekeisha, Quasha, Alicia, Dury, and Latasha; aunts and uncles Deacon Jerry Robinson (Mary), David Robinson (Christine), Ray Robinson (Ann), Edna Walker (Johnny), Curtis Robinson (Cassie), Jacqueline Stokes (Glenn), Sherry Robinson; mother and father-in-law, Carolyn and Rudolph III; sisters-in-law, Vivian Sims, Jerome Sims (Christine), and Steven Sims; cousins, Demetrius Robinson, Melanie, Patrice, Nicole Rachel, Amanda, Nikki Shanora, Ashley, and Rashida, other relatives and friends.
