Thomas "Tommy" Beal, known for his big heart, warm smile, and unwavering generosity, peacefully passed away in the comfort of his home surrounded by loved ones on May 29, 2023, at the age of 67. He will forever be remembered for his love for his family, his service to his country, and his passion for helping others.

Tommy was born to the late Willie Arthur Beal, Sr. and the late Dorothy Hall Beal. Growing up in a loving family, he learned the values of compassion, kindness, and hard work that he carried with him throughout his life. Tommy was preceded in death by his siblings, Willie Arthur Beal Jr., George Beal, Helen Hubbert, Dorothy Beal Loman, Henry Robert Beal, and Millard Beal.

After graduating with the class of '74, Tommy felt a strong calling to serve his country and enlisted in the United States Army. He dedicated four years of his life to the military, demonstrating bravery, resilience, and a deep sense of duty. Tommy's commitment to his fellow servicemen and women earned him respect and admiration from all who knew him.

Following his military service, Tommy embarked on a distinguished career at Robins Air Force Base, where he served for an impressive 37 years. His unwavering dedication, professionalism, and expertise contributed significantly to the success of the organization. Tommy's commitment to his work was matched only by his dedication to his family.

In Holy Matrimony, Tommy was joined by his beloved wife, Cynthia Burnem Beal, with whom he shared 43 years of love and companionship. Their marriage was a shining example of love, trust, and unwavering support. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised three children, Chiquita Cole, Recarlos Tyson Beal, and A'Perrell Nakia Beal (Harvey), all of Warner Robins, GA. Tommy's role as a loving father was one of his greatest joys, and he always made his family his top priority.

Tommy had a zest for life and a wide range of passions. He found solace and joy in the presence of horses, indulging in horseback riding whenever possible. Tommy's love for travel allowed him to explore new cultures and create lasting memories. He had a genuine affinity for helping others and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. With a friendly and welcoming nature, Tommy never met a stranger and could strike up a conversation with anyone. His presence in the community and willingness to assist people left an enduring impact on all who crossed his path.

Tommy leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He is survived by his loving wife, Cynthia, and their children. He will be lovingly remembered by his nine grandchildren and great-grandchild. Tommy is also survived by his siblings: Annie Beal Smith of Montezuma, Ga, Obie Beal of Africa, Raymond Beal of Montezuma, Ga, Beverly Harper of Vienna, Ga, Harriet Brown of Montezuma, Ga, Willie Sanders of Vienna, Ga, and Ernestine Chatfield of Montezuma, Ga. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Jannie Schofield Beal of Montezuma, GA, and Vera Harpe Beal of Ideal, GA. Additionally; Tommy will be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

When we moved into our neighborhood, he stopped by to introduce himself and offered his help. We would chat or wave to each other for the last ten years. He was always friendly and smiling. Rest in Peace, sweet Tommy, you will be missed.

I knew him as “ Steele Beal”, he had a heart of gold, very sweet, kind, generous, and very, very intelligent, smart, He never missed saying hello when he came thru my neighborhood. I know his family will miss him. I pray that God give all the family the strength that is needed to heal.
