
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, March 18, 2023, at New Hope Baptist Church, Hwy 26 E, Montezuma, Georgia. Burial will follow in the Champ Waters Cemetery, 191 Twin Church Road, Montezuma, Georgia.
Graveside services, including burials, are likely to be held on ground that is uneven, which is out of the control of Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. We ask that you take this into consideration when choosing footwear, such as shoes with high, thin heels. Theodora Woolfork-Tookes was born June 5, 1955 in Montezuma, Georgia of Macon County to the late Elder Anthony Woolfork Sr. and Mother Anna Whitehead Woolfork. She was preceded in death by one sibling, Anthony Woolfork Jr. At an early age, she joined the Shade Arnold Baptist Church. She later became a member of New Vision Tabernacle where she served on the Missionary Board where her father, Elder Anthony Woolfork Sr. was pastor. Theodora was a 1973 graduate of D.F. Douglas High School. She went on to further her education in Atlanta, Georgia where she received a certificate in Culinary Arts. Theodora was employed for several years at Fort Valley State University Headstart.
Theodora’s greatest achievements in life was giving birth to her two lovely sons. Antonio Hunter is from her loving relationship with Anthony Hunter of East Point, Georgia. Theodora’s heart was later captured by the one and only late Wilbert Tookes of Oglethorpe, Georgia. They were united in holy matrimony, and to this union they were blessed with one child, Ashton Tookes.
Theodora was crowned Miss Fairburn Queen by PruittHealth-Fairburn in 2019, and she continued to hold that crown until the Angels called her name. It was then that she traded her natural crown for her Heavenly crown.
On Friday, March 10, 2023, Theodora Woolfork-Tookes departed her earthly life for an eternal life. Survivors are her loving sons, Antonio Hunter, Warner Robins, Georgia and Ashton Tookes (Regina), Gainesville, Florida. Her 2 beautiful grandchildren Da’Meria and Keyontae.Her devoted siblings are Bishop Jimmy Woolfork (Cassandra), College Park, Georgia, Bernadette Woolfork – Hughes (Jerome), Macon, Georgia, Paula Woolfork Johnson (Jimmie), Bonaire, Georgia, Donald Woolfork (Tamu), Ellenwood, Georgia, Ronald Woolfork (Denise), and Stanislaus Woolfork (Aldasha), all of Conyers, Georgia, Thalia Woolfork, Lawrenceville, Georgia; aunts and uncles, Oscar Johnson, Fairburn, Georgia, Rev. Amos Whitehead Sr. (Shirley), Earl Woolfork, Joann Woolfork, Geneva Carter (James) all of Montezuma, Georgia, Cleveland Whitehead Jr. (Lildora), Lithonia, Georgia, Evelyn Whitehead, Greensboro, Georgia, Roosevelt Woolfork (Yvonne), Orlando, Florida, Mollie Reed, Warner Robins, Georgia, and Eddie Woolfork (Michelle), Canton, Michigan; a host of beloved nieces, nephews,relatives, and friends.
