To Swafford and Sanders family, May God comfort you all at this time. He said, "those who mourn will be comfort" Rev, and Mrs. Sanders have been so good to my children ( The Gordon's). Remember in the Bible when Lazarus had died? When Jesus heard the news he told his disciples that Lazarus was asleep and that he was going go and awaken him (John 11:11) His disciples did not understand why Jesus needed to go and wake him up if he was only asleep. Finally, Jesus said he has died.

Many scriptures in the Bible speak of death only as "sleep". Therefore, it is comforting to know our loved ones are at rest, just as dear Sonya is. Death is described in the Bible as a sting (Hosea 13:14) this is why death hurts so bad when one loved ones die.

But the Bible also gives us comfort and peace so we can carry on. Moreover, brothers, we do not want you te be ignorant about those who are sleeping in death, so that you may not sorrow as the rest do who have no hope. (1 Thessalonians 4:13).

WE all hope to see dear loving and kind Sonya soon. We love you all.

To The Swafford Family,

Minister Swafford, perhaps it will help to lessen the sorrow of Ms. Sonya's death to realize that so many of her family and friends share your grief. We all at Greater Union Baptist Church appreciated the happiness she so willingly shared and the inspiration she gave to you and her kids.

Minister Swafford, my thoughts are with you, and I extend my deepest sympathy.

With Deepest Sympathy.

I am sorry to hear about Mrs. Sonya. I loved her dearly. She was an angel to me during my tenor at West Central. I was a young shy little girl when I worked there but Mrs.Sonya always there to make sure I was okay. I truly loved her for that. You had an angel. Mr. Swafford and I am sorry for your loss
