The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at Love Joy Peace Church of Christ, 65 Fox Lane, Richland, Georgia. Burial will follow at the Oglethorpe City Cemetery, Memorial Drive, Oglethorpe, Georgia.
Graveside services, including burials, are likely to be held on ground that is uneven, which is out of the control of Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. We ask that you take this into consideration when choosing footwear, such as shoes with high, thin heels. Please be advised that Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. will not be held responsible for injuries at a grave site because of this.
Mrs. Shirley Murray Jolly was born January 24, 1958, in Savannah, Georgia to the late Mr. Ezell Murray and the late Mrs. Annie B. Wright Murray. In addition to her parents, her brother, Mr. Ezell Murray Jr., preceded her in death.
She attended Lumpkin High School where she was a graduate of the class of 1976. She furthered her education at South Ga Technical College in Americus, Georgia.
She joined the Calvary Baptist Church at an early age.
She worked in the Stewart County School System, and she had her own adult day center.
She was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Jeffrey Jolly in 2000.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories to her husband Mr. Jeffrey Jolly, her four children, Dana (Kimberly) Josey of Richland, Georgia, Osjha Jolly of Atlanta, Georgia, Spencer Jolly of Montgomery, Alabama, Jade Shealy of Warner Robins, Georgia. Three grandchildren Devonte, Dayla, and Kiyomi. Eight greatgrands Samerra, Sa’Miya, Lela, Kalise, Katiya, Kayden, Kmarrion, Jalayia. A close cousin Edward (Brenda) Clark, her sister Barbara (Earl) White, her sister-in-law Barbara Murray, Beverly (Georges) Jean’ Jacques, her brothers-in-law Gilbert (Mary) Harris, Sidney Ellis, Stanley Gregory, one nephew Eric Murray, six nieces Jevone, Catrina, Kristy, Barbara (Eddie), Keysha (Steven), Anita, A very Dear Friend Sandra (Melvin) Coleman of Atlanta, Ga. Host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.
