Mrs. Shirley Ann Frazier, age 65, of Buena Vista, Georgia passed Saturday, January 23, 2016 at the Gentiva Hospice in Columbus, Georgia.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., January 31, 2016 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Moody Road, Tazewell, Georgia. The Reverend Joe Oglesby, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, Mt. Zion Road, Ellaville, Georgia
Mrs. Frazier was born October 22, 1950 to the late Wesley Wade and Ella Mae Richardson in Ellaville, Schley County, Georgia. She acquired her education in the public school system of Schley County where she attended John Lewis High School.
Around 1984, Shirley and her family moved to Buena Vista, Georgia where she remained. After returning home she became employed with the Marion County Board of Education as a Dietician where she retired due to declining health in 1996. She had a loving and dedicated companion of twenty-five years, Willie C Hicks. She was the beloved mother of three children. She loved her children with unconditional love and that love was reciprocated.
She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church where she sung in the church choir. Before joining Mt. Olive, she joined Ebenezer Baptist Church of Ellaville, Georgia during her early childhood and the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by one grandson, Joseph Davis, Jr., and a brother, Andrew Baker.
Survivors include children, Mary F. Gladden, William Wade (Kathrine K.), Jessica Frazier, all of Buena Vista, Georgia, Rodney C. Hicks, Sr., Ellaville, Georgia, Pamela Davis (Joseph), Buena Vista, Georgia; grandchildren Rockell Hicks, Ty-Neshia Davis, Rodney Hicks Jr., Ebony Hicks, Alayna Davis, Damian Wade, Valquan Ghant, Sincere Ghant; siblings Diann Hart (James L.), Americus, Georgia, Willie Jean Perry, Ocilla, Georgia, Brenda Baker, Belleglade, Florida, Katrina Richardson Saylor (Marcus) Albany, Georgia, J.C. Richardson, West Palm Beach, Leroy Richardson, Americus, Georgia, Eddie Richardson, South Bay, Florida, Troy Richardson (Tara) Bainbridge, Georgia, Vanessa Richardson, Belleglade, Florida; aunt Lillie Napper, New Brunswick, New Jersey; a host of niece and nephews, other relatives and friends.
