Shatorrya Shanekya Jones, age 36, passed on August 24, 2021.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, September 4, 2021 in the cemetery of Greater Good Baptist Church, 931 Bankston Good Hope Road, Preston, Georgia.
Please be mindful that we will adhere to all government recommendations and mandates at all services at this time. We are limiting graveside seating to no more than 10 with masks being strongly encouraged. Other masked attendees are welcomed but will be expected to practice social distancing.
Graveside services, including burials, are likely to be held on ground that is uneven, which is out of the control of Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. We ask that you take this into consideration when choosing footwear, such as shoes with high, thin heels. Please be advised that Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. will not be held responsible for injuries at a grave site because of this.
Shaytorrya “Torry” Shanekya Jones was born December 1st, 1984 in Americus, GA. She was a 2002 graduate of Jacksonville High School in Jacksonville, NC. She began training for her CDL in 2018 and received her CDL in March of 2019. She was employed with Universal Intermodal as a line haul truck driver. Trucking was a new found passion for her. Shaytorrya will be remembered by her family and friends for being an amazing and loving mother, a generous and caring friend, and overall a strong exuberant woman.
She leaves to cherish her memories two children, Tylaan Dellahoussaye and Skylar Stevens. Mother, Pretrella Walton and father, Delbert Walton, both of Jacksonville, NC. One sibling, Cciera Walton, Dallas, TX. Her maternal aunts Mary Hightower, San Jose, CA and Hattie Robinson (Frank), Columbus, GA, maternal aunts in law Mary Smith (Hobb) Detroit, Michigan. Her maternal uncles Tommie Lee Stevens (Gloria), Larry Stevens (Angela) both of Columbus, GA, Nehemiah Stevens (Margaret), Preston, GA, and Errix Stevens, Americus, GA. Her paternal grandmother Annie Rose Walton, Buena Vista, GA. Her paternal aunt Annie Catherine Irving (Curtis), Columbus, GA. Her paternal uncles Harrell Walton Sr . (Janice), Terrace Walton (Barbara), and Donnell Sales (Bridgett) all of Buena Vista, GA. Along with a host of cousins and dear friends.
