Sammy has been my friend for about 45 years as I attended the sales at Sumter Co. Livestock. My son, Mike, and I have spoken with him every Thursday by phone or in person for the past year. It was such a great shock to us to learn of his passing last week, especially when I had talked with him by phone just several hours prior to his death. Sammy was a FIXTURE at the sale, a devoted worker, and a great friend who will truly be missed. Our thoughts and prayers to his family, and we at Southern Cattle Company extend our deepest sympathies. - Darlene Rustin(Monday, July 22 13 09:37 pm EDT)
