Mrs. Ruby Dean Hill Thomas passed April 27, 2018 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center, Americus, Georgia.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday May 1, 2018 at the Ebenezer Baptist Church, Church Street, Andersonville, Georgia. Burial will follow in the Freeman Hill Cemetery. The remains will lay in state one hour prior to service.
Mrs. Ruby Dean Hill Thomas was born April 27, 1948 to the parentage of the late Flynn and Willie Ruth McDonald Hill. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Mattie Hill Little and Geneva Smith; one brother, James Kendrick, and her brother-in-law, Jimmie Little.
She was educated in the public-school system of Sumter County. She was married to Donald Thomas.
After many years of dedicated service in the industrial field, she returned to Sumter County.
Ruby leaves to cherish her memories two sons Eddie Hill, Andersonville, Georgia and Leonard Hill, Atlanta, Georgia; siblings: Edna (Jesse) Hayes, Lithonia, Georgia, Anna C. Hill, Decatur, Georgia, Irene (Willie) Reddick, Blakely, Georgia, Alfonso Hill, Bernard Hill, and Charlie Hill, all of Americus, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
