
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, October 24, 2019 at Rocky Hill Primitive Baptist Church, 3498 Concord Church Road, Ellaville, Georgia. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery.
Rubie Lee Moore was born in Ellaville, Georgia to parentage of the late Ananias Moore and Elizabeth Kemp Moore on August 16, 1949. Rubie was the fifth of eleven children; two brothers, Donald Moore and Ronnie Moore, preceded her in death.
Rubie attended the public school system of Schley County and was a 1968 graduate of John Lewis High School. After graduating from high school she attended Job Corps in Oklahoma. She then moved to Hartford, Connecticut. While living in Hartford for over 40 years, she held several positions starting her career at Aetna Insurance and ending her career as a manager of the Hartford Police Department.
While in Connecticut, she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Capital Community College. She also was a foster mother to many children and enjoyed traveling, going to Broadways shows, and attending concerts. Rubie loved the Lord and she enjoyed attending services at various Primitive Baptist Churches.
Rubie was very supportive to her family and friends. After several years of living in Connecticut she came back home to Ellaville to care for her mother.
She leaves to cherish her memories to siblings, Mary J. Moore Howard (Bennie Smith), Cleveland, Ohio, George Moore (Josie), Eatonton, Georgia, Obie Moore (Louise), Decatur, Georgia, Clara P. Harvey, (Joe), Atlanta, Georgia, Dennis Moore (Albena), I John Moore (Sandra), Myra Moore and Virga L. Moore, all of Ellaville, Georgia; two sisters-in-law, Ethelene Moore, Atlanta, Georgia, and Maude Williams Moore, Anchorage, Alaska; she also leaves to cherish two goddaughters, Lakisha Thompson, Angelica Thompson-Laidlaw, Hartford, Connecticut, godson, Darryl Aldridge, Ellaville, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including a loving and caring friend Jesse L. Lucas.
