The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, December 15, 2023, at Travelers Home Baptist Church, Travelers Home Road, Ideal, Georgia. Interment will follow in the Lebanon Cemetery.
Graveside services, including burials, are likely to be held on ground that is uneven, which is out of the control of Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. We ask that you take this into consideration when choosing footwear, such as shoes with high, thin heels. Rosa Rene was born July 21, 1956, to the late Edward Bivins and Nancy Raines Bivins in Macon County, Georgia. Rosa Rene was educated in the public school system of Macon County whereas she acquired her elementary education from the historic Ideal Elementary school and her high school education from D.F. Douglass High School, Montezuma, Georgia. She had a passion for dancing.
Rosa was preceded in death by her daughter, Catina Bivins; She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Johnny Bivins and Walter Raines.
She leaves a legacy of love and many fun memories to her son: Darrin Fulks; Siblings: Nellie Kate Collins, Albert Bivins, Arthur Bivins (Rebecca) and Annie Bivins; Aunts and uncles, Bennie Raines (Juliett), Bessie Raines and Joyce Raines. Two devoted God Brothers: Aubrey Tookes and Gerald Dean. Devoted friend: Elijah Ford; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
