Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Willow Lake Cemetery, Willow Lake Road, Fort Valley, Georgia.
Please be mindful that we will adhere to all government recommendations and mandates at all services at this time. We are limiting graveside seating to no more than 10 with masks being strongly encouraged. Other masked attendees are welcomed but will be expected to practice social distancing.
Graveside services, including burials, are likely to be held on ground that is uneven, which is out of the control of Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. We ask that you take this into consideration when choosing footwear, such as shoes with high, thin heels. Please be advised that Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. will not be held responsible for injuries at a grave site because of this.
Rodney was born on December 14, 1966 to the late Charlie Buckner and the late Willie Grace Buckner. He was preceded in death by one sister Bettye Crocker and one brother Albert James Queen. He was educated in the public school system of Macon County. Rodney was formally married to Vera Smith Buckner.
He leaves to cherish his memories to his siblings, Rae Plant (Curtis), Charlie Buckner (Lovie), Patricia Amica (Fred), Shirley Buckner, Jynevelyn Buckner, Frances White, Roger Harris (Lynn); uncles and aunts Otis Harris, Sam Buckner, Paul Buckner, Altomese Taylor and Louise Bryant; a companion Gladys Davis; a host of nieces, nephews and friends in the Marshallville Community.
