Paul Dixon, age, 63, 314 Welch Road, Buena Vista, Georgia passed Monday, November 11, 2013.
The funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 noon, Saturday, November 16, 2013 at the Nazarene Church of Jesus Christ-COGIC, 2286 Pineville Road, Buena Vista, Georgia, where Elder Larry Franklin, Jr. is Pastor. Bishop E J Lundy, Pastor of Tabernacle of Faith, will officiate. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Buena Vista, Georgia.
Paul Dixon was born February 9, 1950 to the late Johnnie Dixon and Annie Mae Minter Dixon in Buena Vista, Marion County Georgia. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Linda Dixon. Also one brother, Johnnie Dixon, Jr., preceded him in death. He was educated in the public school system of Marion County. Paul was a self-employed logger for many years. He was also a mechanic by trade. Paul was united in Holy matrimony to the former Earnestine Jones on June 27, 1987.
Survivors are a loving and devoted wife of 26 years, Earnestine Jones Dixon, Buena Vista, Georgia; four devoted children, Ricky Dixon, Sr. (Lisa), Boston, Massachuetts, Steven Dixon (Kim), Buena Vista, Georgia, Jermaine Jolly, Buena Vista, Georgia, and Marcus Rogers, Ellaville, Georgia; eleven loving grandchildren, April Dixon, Columbus, Georgia, Larico Dixon, Darico, Buena Vista, Georgia, Trynesha Dixon, Columbus, Georgia, Antonious Dowsey, Kentucky, Anthony Paige, Lakeicia Barns, Ricky Dixon, Jr. Dequan Bryant Dixon, all of Boston, Massachusetts, Nylah Dixon and Roderick Dixon, both of Buena Vista, Georgia; twelve loving great grandchildren; one sister, Mary A. Haynes, Cusseta, Georgia; two brothers, William Winfield, Moses Dixon, both of Buena Vista, Georgia; three aunts, Marie Coley, Leslie Hunt, both of Miami, Florida and Edith Durham, Buena Vista, Georgia; four uncles, Milton Minter (Irene), Clarence Minter (Marjorie), Willie Minter (Louise) and Felton Minter (Mae Lou), all of Buena Vista, Georgia; mother-in-law, Geraldine J. Wilson, Ideal, Georgia; sister-in-law, Mary Williams (Freddie), Ellaville, Georgia; a host of beloved nieces, nephews, other relatives, including a devoted cousin, Cynthia Dixon, Miami, Florida and a host of friends.
