Ms. Patricia “Pat” Tookes, age 51, formerly from Oglethorpe and Unadilla, Georgia passed Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at the McRae Nursing Home, McRae, Georgia after an extended illness.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A,M., Monday, September 1, 2014 at Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc., 607 Kaigler Street, Oglethorpe, Georgia. Interment will follow in Davis Chapel A.M.E. Church Cemetery, Georgia Highway 26, Oglethorpe, Georgia. Minister Phillip Fowler will officiate.
Ms. Tookes was born April 28, 1963 in Oglethorpe, Macon County, Georgia to the late Mr. Arthur Lee Tookes and the late Mrs. Bobbie Lee Leggett Tookes. Both parents preceded her in death. She was reared by her Aunt Minnie C. Leggett Byse, who also preceded her in death.
She attended Harper-Archer High School in Atlanta, Georgia.
Survivors are her two brothers, Timothy Lee Tookes, Oglethorpe, Georgia and Harold Eugene Tookes, Atlanta, Georgia; one sister and brother-in-law, Cathy Tookes Hale (Byron), Flowery Branch, Georgia; three aunts, Mrs. Mary Jane Tookes, Montezuma, Georgia, Annie Claude Leggett Thomas, Oglethorpe, Georgia and Bessie Tookes Barnes, Brooklyn, New York; one loving niece, Wandriona Cathey Hale and one adorable nephew, Bryston Azarius Hale, both of Flowery Branch, Georgia.
