Patricia Hill, age 64, 131 MLK JR. Court, Buena Vista, Georgia, passed on September 20, 2023, at Phoebe Sumter Memorial Hospital, Americus, Georgia.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at Josh Gibson Center, 20 Gibson Way, Buena Vista, Georgia. Burial will follow in the Cedar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Ellaville, Georgia.
Graveside services, including burials, are likely to be held on ground that is uneven, which is out of the control of Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. Patricia was born June 15, 1959, to the late James and Gladys Kelley Hill. She was educated in the public school system of Marion County whereas she was a graduate of Tri-County High School. For a number of dedicated years, she was employed as a CNA at the Marion County Magnolia Manor Nursing Center, Buena Vista. Patricia was a member of New Home Baptist Church in Buena Vista, Georgia.
She leaves a legacy of love and many fond memories to her children, one preceded her in death Carl Swanson, and three survive; Deshannon Swanson, Sheneka Hudson (Melvin) Georgia and Torrance Hill, Sr., all of Buena Vista, Georgia; ten grandchildren, Quanterria (Richard), Gemise, Zakhia, Jayla, Torrance, Jr., Kinsley, Keyshun, Jasmyne and Shaniya (Jamyron). Four great grandchildren, Carson, Brooklyn, Kamari, and Braylen.
She was the sister of ten siblings, two preceded her in death, Jimmy and Janice, seven siblings survive, which include, Pearl Walton, Buena Vista, Georgia, Angie Mathis (Robert), Horace Hill (Lisa), Veren Hill, all of Tazewell, Georgia, Michael Hill, Eric Hill, and Travis Hill (Felicia) all of Buena Vista, Georgia; uncle, Curtis Kelley; aunt Pearlene Harris; A host of beloved nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including a devoted niece Demetrie Smith, and steadfast friend, Joanna Murray.
