Pastor Annie Pearl Mangram Williams of 2755 Georgia Highway 90 West, Oglethorpe, Georgia passed Saturday, June 27, 2015 at the Macon Medical Center, Macon, Georgia.

A memorial celebration will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, July 2, 2015 at the Upper Room Apostolic Holiness Church, 1627 Highway 90 West, Oglethorpe, Georgia.

The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Friday, July 3, 2015 at the Emmanuel Temple of The Apostolic Faith, 2081 Larchwood Street, Atlanta, GA  30310, where Bishop Calvin L. McDaniel, Sr. is pastor.

Pastor Williams was born November 9, 1943 to the late Esker Mangram, Sr. and Doris Jolly Mangram in Macon County Georgia.  She was educated in the public school system of Macon County. She received her master degree in cosmetology from Modern Trend Beauty College of Atlanta, Georgia. She was preceded in death by one sister, Eloise Mangram, and two brothers, Grady Mangram and Esker Mangram, Jr.

She was united in holy matrimony to Aris Williams, Sr. on February 13, 1962.  To this union, they were blessed with four children: Alesia Ann, Kim Denise, Aris, Jr. and Machell. Pastor Williams loved her family dearly and that love was reciprocated.

She joined Emmanuel Temple of the Apostolic Faith on May 23, 1976, under the leadership of Elder Calvin L. McDaniel, Sr. Because of her love for the Lord and passion for people, she was always on her post as a soldier of the Lord.  She never missed an opportunity to witness to someone about the plan of salvation.   This was a gift in itself because she made it very plain as she compared it to childbirth.  As a result, many souls came to Christ.  From the time she was baptized in Jesus’ name and filled with the Holy Spirit, she was an active member of Emmanuel Temple.  She sang in the choir because she loved to sing.  Her first solo was "I Feel a Change in My Life."  She was also prayer warrior – meeting every Wednesday for noon day prayer with the mothers of the church; a member of the missionary board; and a member of the pastor’s aid auxiliary. She also participated in street meetings passing out tracks and witnessing to people.  Whenever the doors of the church were open, Sister Williams was there.  In her years of teaching and spreading God’s gospel, she had a new awakening in Christ.  The Lord spoke to her to return to her native land of Oglethorpe, Georgia. In 1985, her ministry begin to grow and her vision materialized in 1990 - Upper Room Apostolic Holiness Church. Her first service was held on Mother’s Day in 1990. The scripture, Acts 26:22, says, “Having therefore obtained help of God,  I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other thing than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come."

Memories of her will be cherished forever by her husband, Aris Williams, Sr., Douglasville, Georgia; four children, Alesia (Lynorris) James and Kim (Bobby) Gant, both of Douglasville, Georgia, Aris Williams, Jr., Powder Springs, Georgia, and Machell (Daryl) Ashmon, Stone Mountain, Georgia; six grandchildren, Renika Nicole (Gemetric) Taylor, Christopher Shaun Gant, Blake Bernard Ashmon, Myles Tre’ Ashmon, Lauren Taylor James, and Christopher G. James; four great grandchildren, Journee Ashmon, Jayden Ashmon, Josiah Ashmon and Camiria James; seven siblings, Ollie Mae Mangram and Margaret McLaughlin (Joe), both of Jamaica, New York, Florene Smith, Oglethorpe, Georgia, Mary Ann Fields, College Park, Georgia, LaVern Mangram, and Anthony Wayne Mangram both of Oglethorpe, Georgia, and Goldie Hairston (John), Atlanta, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Special thanks is given to Bertha Kay Heflin, Roderick Stewart, and Ann Pope.

I would like to offer my deepest sympathies to the entire family. I first met Pastor Williams while a member of Strong Tower Apostolic Restoration Ministries (Formerly M.S. Jones Apostolic) in Columbus, GA. She was always a kind and loving person whose greatest sermon was the life she led. She opened her pulpit to me on many occasions and was a great woman of God. On behalf of my famliy and myself, I would again like to offer my condolences. You are in our thoughts and prayers. We love you all.
