
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Saturday Morning, October 23, 2021 in Champ Waters Cemetery, Twin Churches Road, Montezuma, Georgia.
Please be mindful that we will adhere to all government recommendations and mandates at all services at this time. We are limiting graveside seating to no more than 10 with masks being strongly encouraged. Other masked attendees are welcomed but will be expected to practice social distancing.
Graveside services, including burials, are likely to be held on ground that is uneven, which is out of the control of Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. We ask that you take this into consideration when choosing footwear, such as shoes with high, thin heels. Please be advised that Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. will not be held responsible for injuries at a grave site because of this.
Mrs. Ossie was born in Macon County, Georgia March 15, 1926 to the late Gussie Jackson Sanders and the late Robert Rice, Jr. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas Clark. She was the beloved mother of four children, two preceded her in death, Thomas Haugabook, Sr. and the late Willie James Haugabook. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Sanders and James Sanders. She acquired her education in the public school system of Macon County. At an early age she joined the Harrison Chapel Missionary Baptist Church whereas she remained a faithful and dutiful member.
She leaves to mourn her passing; two daughters and one son-in-law, Peggy Snead. Montezuma, Georgia and Jeanette Harris (Leon), Decatur, Georgia; stepchildren, Shelton Loman (Willene), Henry Thomas Clark Jr., Douglas Clark (Bertha), Jeffery Clark (Louise), Angelena Clark, and Sammy Clark; eighteen grandchildren including two devoted, Latisha Davis and Arlicia Fudge Smith; a host of great and great great grandchildren; brother, Thomas Sanders, Montezuma, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
