Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, April 18, 2020, at Champ Waters Cemetery, 191 Twin Church Road, Montezuma, Georgia.
Please also be mindful that we will adhere to all government recommendations and mandates to limit the number of attendees at all services at this time.We are limiting the number of attendees to no more than 10 at the funeral home chapel services and graveside services. We thank you for your understanding and patience during this time.
Nissie Martin Felton was born in Montezuma, Georgia to the late M. B. Martin and the late Laura Brown Martin. She was raised by her stepmother Mrs. Christine Martin. She is preceded in death by three children Johnny Frank Riggin, Artis Riggin, Liz Jones, a step son Lawrence Haslem Jr., siblings James Martin, Melvin Martin, Willie B. Martin, Carrie Troutman, Martha Sanders, and Alice Caldwell. She was educated within the Macon County Community. At an early age she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savoir and joined the Christian believers at Harrison Chapel Baptist Church. She later moved her membership to First United Holiness Church where she served in the choir, usher board, and on the mother board. For many years she was employed as a housekeeper for local families. She enjoyed sewing, singing in the choir, and spending time with her family. In 1975, a season of love was in full bloom, when Nissie was married to the late Pate Felton. They were wed in holy matrimony on August 7, 1975.
She leaves a lifetime of memories to her beloved family including her five children, Laura O’Neal, Detroit, Michigan, Patrica Riggin-Collins, Detroit, Michigan, Charles Riggins (Kim), Rex Georgia, Calloway Riggins (Sylvia), Clinton Township, Michigan, and Keith Felton, Montezuma, Georgia; 11 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; three sisters Annette Smith, Montezuma, Georgi, Mary Hill , and Roberta Stockner (Robert), all of Naples, Florida; host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, Elder Michael Coley and her First United Holiness Church Family.
