The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Travelers Home Baptist Church, Travelers Home Road, Ideal, Georgia. Reverend Carl Munns, pastor will officiate. Interment will follow in the Lebanon Cemetery.
Mrs. Nancy was born March 13, 1920 in Roberta, Crawford County, Georgia to the late Charlie Raines Sr. and Mrs. Nellie Williams Raines. She was educated in the public School System of Crawford County. At an early age she joined Olive Grove Baptist Church. After uniting in holy matrimony to the late Edward “Cut Row” Bivins, they moved to Macon County, Georgia where she joined the Travelers Home Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by two children, Johnny Bivins and Walter Bivins. She was also preceded in death by ten siblings, Louvenia Raines, Thomas Raines, Remus Raines, Sr., James Raines, Emma Louise Raines, Lucille Raines, Freddie Lee Raines, Roosevelt Raines, Charlie Raines, Jr. and Cleo Raines.
Survivors are her children, Nellie Kate Collins and Rose Rene Bivins both of Oglethorpe, Georgia, Arthur James Bivins (Rebecca), Montezuma, Georgia, Albert Bivins, Oglethorpe, Georgia and Annie Bivins, Ideal, Georgia; fourteen grandchildren, thirty three great grandchildren and several great, great grandchildren; two brothers, Willie Lee Raines, Mauk, Georgia and Bennie Raines, Montezuma, Georgia; sisters -in-law, Juliette Raines, Ideal, Georgia, Bessie McCant Raines, Oglethorpe, Georgia, Joyce Raines, Montezuma, Georgia and Myrtice Jones, Decatur, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Ma Nan is in a better place than we are, she has lived a long and blessed life; most haven't and will not live to see half of her age, she has served her purpose here on earth.
