Missouri Diane Thomas Smith, age 58, 426 Clifton Bradley Drive, Oglethorpe, Georgia passed Thursday, November 8, 2013 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center, Americus, Georgia.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, November 16, 2013 at Lula Chapel Primitive Baptist Church, Georgia Highway 26 West, Oglethorpe, Georgia, where Elder James Lyles is Moderator. Reverend Alfred Biggs, Pastor of Harrison Chapel Baptist Church, Tom Adams Road, Montezuma, Georgia, will officiate. Interment will follow in Davis Chapel A.M.E. Church Cemetery, Georgia Highway 26 West, Oglethorpe, Georgia.

Missouri Thomas Smith was born March 13, 1955 to Eddie Thomas, Sr. and Annie Claude Leggett Thomas in Oglethorpe, Macon County, Georgia. She was educated in the public school system of Macon County. She was a 1974 graduate of Macon County High School. Missouri was a member of Harrison Chapel Baptist Church. She was employed with The Meal Ticket Restaurant as a Waitress and Cook.

Survivors are her loving and devoted children, Alfreda Thomas Belvin (Tyree), Oglethorpe, Georgia, Crystal Smith and Christina Smith, both of Americus, Georgia; five loving grandchildren, Breyon Rice, Adrian Thomas, Tyler Thomas, Jason Thomas, and Kingston Thomas; her parents, Annie Claude Leggett Thomas and Eddie Thomas, Sr., Oglethorpe, Georgia; one brother, Eddie Thomas, Jr., Germany; one sister, Brenda Thomas, Oglethorpe, Georgia; aunts and uncles, Geneva Welbon, Haywood, California, Albert Thomas, Jr., Boston, Massachusetts, Amour Jean Smith (Thurman Smith, Sr.), Duxbury, Massachusetts, Evelyn Thomas, Oglethorpe, Georgia, and Annie B. Fagan, Greenville, California; a host of beloved nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
