Minnie Lee Williams, 6071 Venetian Way SW, Mableton, Georgia passed Thursday morning, June 30, 2016 at her home.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 9, 2016 at the Greater New Hope Baptist Church, 815 Fox Street, Atlanta, Georgia. Pastor Darryll Edward will officiate. From 2:30 P.M. to 3:00 P.M., family and friends may view the remains at the Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. 607 Kaigler Street, Oglethorpe, Georgia. Burial will follow in the Davis Chapel A.M.E. Church Cemetery, GA Hwy 26 West, Oglethorpe, Georgia.
 
Mrs. Minnie Lee Williams was born July 30, 1935 in Americus, Sumter County, Georgia to the late Mr. and Mrs. Eddie and Janie Williamson.   She was educated in the public school system of Sumter County.  She was married to Moses Williams and to this union they were blessed with nine children. Two children, Eddie Robert Williams and Alphonso Williams, preceded her in death.  
 
She was a member of Greater New Hope Baptist Church where she was a dedicated member of the Deaconess Board and Greater New Hope Mother’s Board.   In addition, she was a member of the Good Samaritan Order of Easter Star Chapter No. 107. 
 
Survivors are husband of 63 years, Moses Williams, Mableton, Georgia; seven children, Annie Jean Reed, Mableton, Georgia, Minnie Mae Curry, New York, New York, Alvin Curtis Williams, Clayton, Georgia, Charlene Williams (William), Raven Gap, Georgia, Joyce Elaine Williams, Mableton, Georgia, Tawanda Little (Michael) Mableton, Georgia, and Donald Allen Williams  (Carolyn) Columbia, South Carolina; 17 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; siblings, Johnny B Williamson (Annie Kate) Ellaville, Georgia, Willie Pearl Price, Ohio, Pauline Smith (Bo), and Paul Williamson (Annie Ruth), all of Americus, Georgia; sisters & brothers-in-law, Mary Lou Stewart, Union City, Georgia, Tincy Wiggins, Jonesboro, Georgia, Annie Pearl Williamson, and  Sue Williamson, both of Connecticut; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Sorry for your lost, the Bible gives us comfort during this difficult time. It is comforting that in the Bible at Revelation 21:3,4 Jehovah God promises a time when sickness and death will be no more. Jehovah God feels for you in your pain and i do too.(1 Peter5:7)

With Sympathy & Caring: In the Bible we find a wonderful hope “the Resurrection.” For God promise “there will be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous..” Like Lazarus, Minnie can one day live again right here on earth.

My condolences. So sorry to hear of the passing of your love one. Mr. Moses and Mrs. Minnie was long time friends of my parents the late Eddie and late Beulah Tookes in Oglethorpe. God will give you strength in this time.
