Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Oglethorpe City Cemetery, Memorial Drive, Oglethorpe, Georgia.
Please be mindful that we will adhere to all government recommendations and mandates at all services at this time. We are limiting graveside seating to no more than 10 with masks being strongly encouraged. Other masked attendees are welcomed but will be expected to practice social distancing.
Graveside services are likely to be held on ground that is uneven, which is out of the control of Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. We ask that you take this into consideration when choosing footwear, such as shoes with high, thin heels. Please be advised that Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. will not be held responsible for injuries at a grave site because of this.
Millard Beal was born August 10, 1944 in Montezuma, Macon County, Georgia to the late Dorothy Hall Beal and the late Willie Arthur Beal Sr. He was preceded in death by one son Marvin Schofield, siblings Willie Arthur Beal Jr., Helen Hubbert, Dorothy Beal Loman, and Henry Robert Beal. He was educated in the public school system of Macon County. At an early age he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and joined the band of Christian Believers at St. Paul A.M.E. Church. His passion was trucking and he worked faithfully for 40 years as a truck driver with Pine Timber Trucking in Oglethorpe, Georgia and J&M Tank Trucking in Americus, Georgia. He was joined in holy matrimony to Jannie Mae Schofield.
He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife of 58 years Jannie M. Beal, Montezuma, Georgia; children Tammie R. Beal Montezuma, Georgia, Terrell (Sandra) Beal, Warner Robins, Georgia, Erica (Mario) Mitchell, Montezuma, Georgia, Terica (Marcus) Beal, Warner Robins, Georgia, and Etherine Manuel, Valerie West whom he reared as his own; grandchildren Lamario Schofield, Jamarcus Thomas, Arielle Taylor, Cornelius Thomas, Jr., Terrell Beal, Jr., Tahj Morrell, Andrevier Beal, Armenderiz Harvell, Jr., Keilyn Harris, Kelveion Harris, Kymani Mitchell, Kymori Mitchell, Heaven Mitchell, Arsenio Watkins, and Lystashia Watkins; 10 great grandchildren; sisters and brothers Annie Beal Smith Montezuma, Georgia, Obie Beal, Africa, Thomas (Cynthia) Beal, Warner Robins, Georgia, Raymond Beal, Montezuma, Georgia, Beverly Harper, Vienna, Georgia, Harriett Brown, Montezuma, Georgia, Willie Sanders Vienna, Georgia, Earnestine Chatfield, Montezuma, Georgia; sisters and brothers-in-law, Levenie Perkins, Montezuma, Georgia, Minnie L.
